Chapter twenty three

Toby POV

Today's the dance and I already cant wait. The plan tonight is going to be EPIC!

But at least i'm going with Lucy.

She's really cool and I want to impress her tonight. I really like her and I want this night to be special for her.

I got dressed for school. Just my everyday clothes.

I walked to school and a couple of my friends were happy for me because I was going to the dance with Lucy.

They said all kinds of things.

"Hey nice job with your date, she's a keeper."

and

"You're lucky."

It was pretty awesome. But not as awesome as Lucy in a band t shirt. She looked away just standing there waiting for me with her hair straightened. She smiled and walked over to me.

"Hey, cant wait for the dance tonight." she said smiling.

"Me neither. I just hope everything's gonna go alright." I said.

"Yeah no doubt about that." she said. Then the bell rang and we went to first. We just sat there until the morning announcements came on.

"Good morning everybody. This is your principal. I have a couple announcements today. First thing off, baseball tryouts today. Second off, there will be pizza and salad for lunch. And last but not least. The dance is cancelled due to last minute runs that the student council have made. It is rescheduled in two weeks so dont be coming to school today at six. Have a good day students."

What! The dance is cancelled. Lucy seemed alright about it but it was today I was going to ask her out at the dance.

The rest of the day was slow for me.
