chapter thirty one

Lucy pov

Ugh its Monday, again. Im still in a little pain from the 'incident' with Jeff. Loser.

Anyways I got dressed and walked to school.

I skipped breakfast because who needs it?

When I got there, I saw Clockworks group of tickers. Thats what I like to call them.

I ignored them and walked to my locker where I was greeted by Eyeless Jack.

"Hey Lucy, I heard what Jeff did and thats pretty messed up."

"I know but its no big deal. Im surprised I didnt get in trouble yet." I say as I put my stuff away.

"Well Clockwork is still gonna come after you if you dont be careful."

"Tell me something I dont know." I say as I walk away from my friend.

When i get to first period, a new girl showed up.

She has blue and sea green hair with black mixed in it. Her eyes look like cat eyes. Her lips were red. She was wearing a sea green dress with a leather jacket and black boots.

Honestly, she looked girly.

The bell rung and Toby sat next to me while BEN sat in front of me.

"You guys, we have a new student. Her name is Jessica Nile Morgensten." Mrs. Kelly says and the girl just stands there.

Then I hear Toby and BEN gasp.

They stared at each other.

"What?" I ask while whispering.

"We know her." they both say. I watch as the girl sits by LJ who is apparently glaring at BEN.

What is going on.

Toby pov

Oh man, my old crush. I hope she still doesnt have feelings for me and I know what had happened between her and BEN.

But we never got together because all of us moved except Jessica.

I tried not to stare at her but its not like she could see me.

Her head was down and everytime someone tried to talk to her, she'll tense up and just doesnt talk.

"Toby stop staring at the new girl do you like her?" BEN asks. Thank god Lucy had headphones in and I can hear the music playing.

"Yeah but I just dont want to ruin things with Lucy."

"Oh, just pick, but that sounds weird doesn't it." BEN says as he turns around to LJ who is smiling mischievously.

"Yeah i pick Lucy but i like Jessica." I then watch as Jessica looks at me and smiles. Did i just blush.
