"Thanks." Those were the words I heard after she walked away. I looked back at her as she left.
I cleared my throat. "Sorry did I interrupt something?" I pointed towards the door.
Her dad chuckled. "No Justin you didn't." Seems like I did. "She's going to take over the company soon..." He shook his head.
"Well I came to tell you that my mom will be out of town for a couple of months." I shifted nervously.
Why was I so nervous? This was Daya's dad?
He raised his right brow. "Family purposes sir."
He sighed....is this man depressed or something?? Is he out of breath??
"Right." He looked at me. "So how long are you staying?"
Wait what?!
"Sir um.. I don't know what you're talking about?" He gave me a smile.
"Oh she didn't tell you." I shook my head.
"Well you're staying with us for the next couple of months. Which means," he stood up from his office chair. "You'll be taking over her position."
"Um sir maybe next time..." I pointed to the door. "I'll just stay with my friend Ryan."
What are you doing?? You'll be able to see Zendaya every morning. Maybe even have- I hate my thoughts.
"Don't be ridiculous."
Then next thing you know I'm moving in with the Coleman's for the next couple of weeks. Maybe months.
