Night before Christmas

"Nightmare monster"

our neighborhood knew,

the beast that came

with it's wings he flew.

House to house

street by street-

he was the one

no one wanted to meet.

That eve before christmas

Everyone was hidden,

no one outside

for it was forbidden.

We'd lock the doors

the windows, and lights,

because in the lights he seeks

People in sight.

But once there's a good

little girl and little boy

he'd bring in their house

a bag of new toys.

The monster who came

from one house to another

smell a sinner in the house?

another one to slaughter.

But this year I thought

'It wont be a problem

we've been good all year

did not steal an item.

Neither did we lie

Nor did we speak

bad things from our mouth's

Nor hurt the weak.

We minded our manners

none of us cheated,

we had good grades

no punishment needed.'

We sat on the floor

My sister and me

With my parents on the sides

oh how frightened were we.

We expected the man

with red clothes and a beard

but instead a loud grumble

we heard and we feared.
