'Dad, I need your help' I whispered through my phone, hiding in the unknown and dark alley. It was snowing, I was only wearing my cotton shorts and oversized dark grey hoodie to go with my slipper boots. I was shivering bad, I don't know if it was because it's snowing or I'm terrified from my boyfriend Dean.
'Sweetie?' The other side of phone, raspy voice tells me that I woke my father up. Did I mention that it's-- 'Where are you? It's 2 in the morning now and I fell asleep waiting up for you like usual!' My father said calmly, too calm for my liking.
'Dad, it's urgent! I need your help!' I cried, terrified of being found by Dean and his friends.
'What's it? Are you okay?! Where are you?' Dad bombed into a lot of questions at once and I winced at his concern voice.
'I'm hiding in the alley down the road from Dean's apartment, please hurry and get me!' I urged dad to be hurry.
'Wait there, I'm coming in ten minutes!' I heard him shuffled around, probably putting on his sweatpant like he always does when he comes and get me from Dean's apartment every time I asked him.
I hung up and put my phone in my hoodie pocket, I was shaking bad and crying.
I backed up against the wall and slide down to sit, I put my knees up to my chest and hugged them to keep myself warm and to calm from my shaking hands and body. My face hide away from the world behind my hoodie, my hood covered my head and face so I could hide and keep my face warm.
In this street, it wasn't very nice area to live in but I like to be here all the time with my boyfriend Dean. Well until tonight,I'd never thought I would be running away from Dean and scared of him.
Tonight, Dean had showed his true colours and I was terrified of it, I AM terrified of what he would do to me after seeing me running away and I know it won't be long until he found me hiding in the dark alley if my dad don't get here soon enough.
'Where are you, dad?!' my lips quivered, crying. I looked down at my knee and realised my knee was bleeding along with both of my hands, I must have grazed my hands and knee while tripped over when I was running out of the back door from the shop.
SCREECHHHHIIIINGGGGG!
My head jumped at the sound and the lights, I started to panicked. Dean have found me and dad isn't here yet.
'No, no, no!' I whispered, hiding my head back in my head and hope that Dean didn't see me just yet.
'Sweetie?' I heard dad speak softly, I looked up and sighed in relief.
'Daddy!' I jumped up and limped to hug dad, so relieved that it was my dad who found me not Dean.
'We have got to go, it won't be long until Dean will find us' and on cue I heard Dean shouting at me.
My eyes turned to my right and widened when Dean just came out of his apartment, probably was looking for me before found me in my dad's arms, his face is all red that I wasn't sure if it's the cold or he's mad, really really mad. At me.
'Dad, we got to go. NOW!' I turned to dad before hurried to the car where dad parked next to the alley I was hiding. Dad hurried in the car next to me and started the car but it stalled.
Why did the car decided to stall when we really need to leave?! I glared at the rear mirror and saw that Dean and two of his friends that I recognised, Graham and Frank, running towards the car. I could hear Dean shouting for me through the heavy snow and I was surprised that none of them was slipping due to the ice on the path.
'Dad!' I hissed, 'We really need to go!' And with that the car finally moved forward when Dean and his friends almost reached the car. I knew Dad couldn't drive any faster because of the ice and heavy snow.
I sighed, resting my head on the window, I'm still shaking and could feel my dried tears on my cheeks.
'What's going on, Scarlett?!' I flinched, dad only calls me Scarlett when he's mad.
I turned to dad, 'nothing dad' I choked, my voice tightened by crying.
'Scarlett, you're shaking and you're cold, let alone I can see that you've been crying!' Dad turned to me and then back to the road, his eyes hardened.
'Dad?' I whispered, turning to dad while his eyes was on the road.
'Yes?' Dad said, he knew what was coming ahead of us.
'We need to leave the town' I could feel my eyes tearing up, dad nodded in agreement.
From that night, I've vowed to never look back or live the style like that ever again. Everything I've ever did, past is past.
