It was quick. But it hurt. Then he was gone.
I didn't see him for a few days after that. I didn't even look in a mirror for a few days after that.
It was only when it became half a month after the incident that I looked in a mirror. Then I saw something so obvious, as well as something nobody else could see.
First I saw the bruise. The huge, purple bruise on the side of my face.
Then I saw the fear, and the pain behind it.
Would you like to know what I didn't see?
I didn't see the Old Sophia.. The Sophia I was before.
Now I see something else.
The longer I look at my reflection, the more convinced I am that this face is foreign. As if I am someone else. As if I am not the same Sophia I was before.
I don't know who I have become. I don't know exactly what it was inside of me that changed. All I know is that it was something. And that's good enough for me.A/N: So this chapter is really short and I don't like the length of it but you know what I have SO MANY good ideas for this story... You would not believe what is going on in my head with this.. I'm so excited to write more for this story... I'll be having more time near the end of the week to update more... Maybe some daily updates to end the year like the good old days? I'll try.. I'll be on winter break so its TOTALLY a possibility. Anyway yeah please vote as always I love knowing if you like the story or not.. Umm I think that's all! Have a great day/night/whatever time it is when you read this.
P.s chapter 9 might be published tomorrow. No promises. Just a heads up.
