[CALLIE]
This was it, I was walking into my death, the gates of fire, my own burning hell, I was—oh for the love of Christ will you shut up Callie? And you're just going into the principal's office for Gods' sake, stop freaking out. Well who knows what could be in the principal's office, I could be done for, you wouldn't know.
"Hey, I'm here to see Principal Anderson."
"Oh, it's you again." The lady who clearly hadn't stopped loathing her job sneered at me. "Sit down, I'll tell him you're here."
What was this an office? The man called for me, why couldn't I go in?
"Carl Vernon right?" I nodded, "You can go in."
Okay, okay just breathe—just move! Shut up stupid mind.
"Sir, you wanted to see me." I said quietly and let me tell you; right now my heart was beating so fast I thought it was going to fall off.
"Yes Carl," he replied, "I did want to see you, have a seat." He motioned for me to sit down.
Ba-thump!
"You see, we have a problem with you that needs urgent fixing."
Ba-thump!
"You see son, when you first came there were some things we forgot to point out."
Thump! Thump!
"There are some important things that are necessary if you want to attend Waverly Boys School."
Thump! Thump! Thump! Oh God!
"Important things like that are meant to be followed, and you didn't seem to follow and acquire those certain things."
Sir, I can explain please, just don't send me to jail...please, my mom is going to kill me if she finds out, please just –
"You see, when you handed in your credentials and school applications, you forgot to fill some certain things and those are very important school information's that are necessary for future purposes."
I opened my eyes and unclasped my hands that I didn't even know I was holding tight until now. He didn't find out! He didn't find out! I wanted to jump and kiss him right now; I wasn't going to jail.
I grinned brightly and took the applications from his hands. "Yes sir, I'll fill them up immediately."
"Good, hope you're enjoying the school."
"Yes I am," I replied, handing him the form.
"Okay thank you, you can leave now."
"Thank you, sir." I stood up to leave. "Thank you," I walked to the door. "Thank you," I closed the door. "Thank you so much."
Words could not describe how happy I was right now, I was pretty sure I'd said thank you to that man a thousand times but who cared? I was happy.
. . . . . .
[LIAM]
"So," Easy started, staring ahead, "you know why your dad's asking for Carl?"
"No, not really. Why are you asking?"
"No reason, just curious." My eyes narrowed, I knew Easy, and he was never curious about anything. He always never cared about anybody. Something was definitely weird.
"Easy, is there anything you're not telling me?" If something was up, I definitely wanted to know.
"No, why would you think that?" He replied coolly.
"Well, you never really... care about anything. Say less of anybody."
"I don't. I'm just curious about my roommate's welfare that's all." He shrugged.
Right, Easy was up to something, I didn't know what it was but I was going to find out.
...
"Liam!" I heard a tiny voice call me. My heart thumped. Didn't Piper leave already? What was she still doing here?
"Liam," the voice called again, sounding closer this time. "Can't you hear me calling you?"
I was relieved when I saw Carl catching up with me and panting. I swear he sounded like a girl, I wonder why I didn't notice that before.
"Oh, sorry didn't hear you, was thinking about something."
"What? Is it lady-whore Piper again?"
I chuckled at two things; lady-whore Piper and his girly voice.
"No. So how'd it go with my dad?"
"You were right; he isn't so bad after-all." He grinned.
"Told ya," I said, giving him a manly push, surprised when he almost fell.
"Yeah," he smiled, rubbing his arm.
"So... Easy was worried about you."
"Really? He was?" He turned to face me, a shocked expression on his face.
"Yeah, he kept asking questions."
"Right..." he smiled to himself silently; something was definitely up with those two. "I'll see you later Liam. I have to go blackmail someone."
. . . . . .
[CALLIE]
Easy actually cared, the idiot. I really couldn't figure out why that meant so much to me, but it did. I was quite happy to know that the idiot actually did care.
"Hey looser, whatchu' doing?" I said, closing the door of room 201.
"I'm guessing it went well and the principal didn't find out?" He said, dropping the book he was reading. Boys who read where the sexy ones.
"Well, at least you're smart." I grinned, it was a big relief that I could still stay here and that Easy really didn't tell on me.
He rolled his eyes but I could see the corners of his lips twitching into a smile. "So... Liam was telling me you were worried and actually came see if I was in trouble."
"I wasn't worried. I just came to make sure you were in trouble." He said with a nervous look.
"You're lying," I smirked and told him in a sing-song voice. Oh yeah, now it was my turn to do the smirking.
"I am not!" He replied, really fast.
"Admit it, deep down Easy, you like me. You like your roomie.'' I teased and resisted the urge to poke him playfully.
"I do not! Now stop pushing the case or I'll really make sure you leave."
I smiled, "Okay...if you think that'll help."
"I'm not kidding Callie."
I rolled my eyes and walked to the door. "But you love me,"
"I still hate you!" He shouted when I closed the door.
"You're still a looser."
"And you're still a freshman."
My roommate everybody; the Classic Easy Walsh.
