FOUR BOYS, ONE GIRL AND 1 CRAZY HIGH SCHOOL YEAR
CHAPTER 34
This chapter is dedicated to @stereoactive (gotta love Ishanna and PIZZERIA BOY! <3)
I scooted to the end of the window and pushed my face to the glass as we boarded the train. I had never been on a train before, Chris always told me he had to take one every single day. I mean it was true, he was a broke ass living in New York. The subway was his closest friend.
I could feel Easy slide in next to me. The seats were a twinie one; translation: a small spaced seat made for two – or one if you were plus-sized – persons. So yeah, we were really close together.
I looked around, not surprised when I saw half of the seats empty – it was almost 3am in the morning, of course it'd be empty. It was just Easy, a hobo, a woman and her baby and I. The train made a hooting sound and it started moving slowly and I couldn't help but squeal in excitement.
Easy chuckled from beside me. "You haven't entered a train before have you freshman?"
I shook my head and turned to look at him; ignoring how close we were. "Nope, we never had one back in Colorado. Even if we did, I never knew about it. Plus, mom always said the train was 'unhygienic'. So, I never got the chance to ride one."
"Well, it's pretty fun. I guess? I dunno, a train's a train."
I scoffed and looked back at the window. Not much to see though, considering the damn thing was underground. "You're such a sap Easy. You fail to see the beauty in anything and everything."
"You're so different." He whispered lowly. "And your different personality's border-lined stupid. Stupid enough to see the beauty in coming to an all boys' school."
If I hadn't done that, I wouldn't have met you. I wanted to say but didn't. "Well, if I hadn't come, I wouldn't have gone to London, met Ethan and Rori and been on a train that could end my life now with you, now would I? See? Beauty in everything."
Easy just shook his head and leaned on the headrest. "Whatever, just wake me up when the train stops."
I grinned when he closed his eyes; staring at him for a while before diverting my eyes back to the window.
...
"Easy? Uh, I think everyone's getting down." I poked the boy beside me when the train hooted to another stop.
He popped on eye open in confusion before sitting up and rubbing his eyes in a cute way. God I just wanted to hold him and kiss him senseless. "Huh? New York already?"
I shrugged. "I guess..."
A new set of people started trooping in and Easy grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the train just in time before the door closed. I sighed and scrunched up my nose when we stepped into New York's subway.
Ew, I so wasn't coming to NYU. It was clogged and dirty and people where moving around their businesses. Even when it was approximately 5:00 in the morning. They didn't care who they pushed and who they didn't. Well, welcome to New York.
Easy must've been thinking the same thing because he took my hand again and sighed. "C'mon, let's go to Josie."
...
"So, what hospital?" I balanced my bag-pack on my back.
"Um, it says... St. Marie General hospital," he read aloud from his phone. "Okay... I think we're gonna have to take a bus from here?"
