John hummed in content, running his hands across James' back. The two were seated under the stars, James cuddled against John's chest, sitting in his lap, dragging a pen across his lover's face to connect his freckles, making it look like his face was splashed with constellations.
"Stop moving," James whined, his left hand cupping John's cheek, trying to make him hold still. John chuckled, taking the pen from James' hand. "John," James pouted, "I wasn't done yet."
"I know baby, but how am I supposed to kiss you when you're writing on my face," James blushed as John pulled him in for a soft kiss. He wrapped his arms around John's neck, shifting so that he was straddling the larger man. John set the pen down before placing his hands firmly on James' hips, pulling him closer. "You're so cute, baby doll," John mumbled as he pulled away, staring into James' dark eyes.
James' face reddened, the flustered man shrinking under John's flirtatious eyes. "Stop it Johnny, you know I hate it when you give me compliments like that."
"No, you live it. You just hate that I can get you so blushing and embarrassed, it's the cutest thing about you," John grinned, rubbing his fingers through James' short curls. He looked up at the stars that towered above him, the moonlit park was empty except for the two of them. It was a peaceful setting and with James pressed against him, he couldn't be happier. "We should do this more often."
James lifted his head to look at John, who gave him a loving smile as soon as their eyes met. "We should," James nodded, smiling back. "It's a beautiful night, I mean just look at the stars..." James looked up, staring at the night sky.
"Oh please, the stars aren't nearly as stunning as you," John mumbled, pressing small feather kisses to James' neck, making the smaller man blush. "I'm sorry I never have any time to take you out on dates. You know how much I have to work baby, I just don't have a lot of free time. I sure wish I did, Jemmy. You know there's no one I love being with more than you."
"It's okay Jacky," James said, threading his fingers through John's locks. "Besides, it's not about the dates. It's not like I'm going to demand that you take me to a fancy restaurant. It's about spending time with you, like sitting under the stars," John smiled, kissing James passionately holding it till he needed air. "I love you John."
John grinned, fiddling with the hem of James' sweater. "I love you too Jem," John said softly, his tone sounding honest and sweet. "More than the stars in the sky."
