You gave me all you had, you tried so hard;
Trust me- I'm the one at loss,
Because I have nothing to give you.
If only you knew..
The pain is often unbearable
I try, I swear, to keep it all in.
But at times it tears its way out of me.
Oh, if only you knew!...
I'm not sad, I'm empty
I'm not mad, I'm torn
I'm not bad, I'm hopeless
If only you knew...
If only you knew the pain I go through,
Which- how much ever I suffer- brings no gain
If only you knew the struggle
To choose to wake up and fight the same demons
Which almost got you killed yesterday
If only you knew that that smile-
That you take for granted-
Is only there so that you don't watch me break
Me dear, if only you could see my mind;
You'd be in tears!
Oh honey,
Trust me, you have it all easy!

Hello! I hope y'all are going good! This poem is all about depression and stuff like that. Just how others-even when they try so hard- fail to understand you, let alone help. They pretend they know exactly what's bothering you when they ain't got a clue! They try to help, but end up breaking you completely. And people judge you when they see you smiling and never care enough to just enquire if you're doing alright. And what's worse is when you see completely normal people walking around saying they're sad and depressed when they actually don't have any idea what depression actually is ! They don't seem to know that they have its all so easy! And they seem not to know or see what you go through EVERY SINGLE DAY OF YOUR LIFE!! And to all those people out there who choose to get up every morning and choose to fight the same demons that almost killed you yesterday, you show real courage!
Comment if you can relate and thanks so much for reading(and maybe voting 😉)!
