xv. Blue

56 14 14

I trusted you
I put all my faith in you
I cried for you, almost died for you
But all you did was turn me blue

I remember those days,
I tried to get out of the maze
That you put me in;
It was bad, what you did, but never was it a sin.

I tried to make you see.
I tried to let you be.
I tried to set you free.
Oh, but you never let me.

I gave you all I had.
But you made me sad.
I could never see you as bad.
I think I was going all mad!

You turned my days grey,
You let my edges fray.
You turned my mind dark.
Not knowing you were leaving a mark.

You wounded me,
And watched as I bled
My dear, I couldn't see
Because everything around me was red.

Oh, yes, all you wanted was to leave marks.
But no, you left scars.
My mind is all wounded now
I want to let you go, but I don't know how...
