Something about Ethan is so attractive. Maybe it's the fact that he's not sure of himself. He's the complete opposite of my boyfriend. My boyfriend is the confident type. He tends to be annoying from time to time.
Not to mention Ethan fills out his shirts really well. He's definitely built and he's always dressed to impress. He's got a jawline that could cut the insides of you thighs.
My mind starts to wonder to places it shouldn't.
I shake the thoughts of him away and continue with the work they gave me.
As I'm going through my work my phone buzzes on my desk. I pick it up and see it's my boyfriend Brad.
Brad - come to the party with me tonight baby ;)
He's a typical frat. He's always wanting to party or talk about football.
I roll my eyes and click on the text to respond.
Me - Sure :)
I could use a party I guess. This place is super boring.
************ At the party
The smell of alcohol and sweat are very prevalent and it's not attractive. I should probably get a drink to loosen up but I'm not in the mood.
To be honest I'm not in the mood for any of this.
I pull my tight dress down to make sure it's not too short. I only wore this in hopes to impress Brad.

I don't think it worked considering he's off talking to his friends and I'm practically alone in the corner.
I'm completely over this party so I walk over to Brad in hopes to get him to take me home.
"Brad? Can we leave?" I ask over the loud music, placing my hands on his shoulder.
"We just got here." He argues knitting his eyebrows together. "Brad just take me home." I plead.
"You're being a bitch Katie. Just leave me alone." He says pushing me off of him.
My heart falls to my stomach and all I want is to leave.
I turn on my heels and begin pushing through everyone to get to the front door.
I'm hoping Brad is right behind me but he's not. Shows how much he cares.
As I'm finally out of the house I let all the tears come out. I'm frustrated with the fact that I have to walk all the way home and the fact that my boyfriend doesn't even care anymore.
I continue to walk down the street with tears spilling from my eyes. It's freezing and all I want is to get home.
Ethan's POV:
I'm driving home from a late night at work. I have to stay late way too often. It's now 11 and I'm just now leaving.
I rub my eyes and continue to drive to my apartment. I can't wait to get out of these clothes and just lay down.
I'm about halfway home when I see a girl walking down the street. She has blonde hair like Katie but she's wearing a tight black dress and heels.
I slow down and sure enough it's Katie. I immediately want to pick her up. It's freezing and she shouldn't be out.
I come to a stop near her and roll down my window. "Do you want a ride?" I ask leaning out my window so she can tell it's just me.
She looks at me and takes a deep breath. "Sure." She mutters walking around my car and to the passengers seat. I unlock the door and she hops in.
"It's freezing out." She says shivering. "Here I'll turn the heat up." I say adjusting the heat so she can warm up. "Thank you." She says sending me a small smile.
"So where to?" I ask glancing at her and then back to the road. "Oh um Walters apartments." She stammers. My eyes widen. "You were gonna walk all the way there?" I asked shocked. Those apartments are further than mine.
"I had no other way to get home." She says simply. Now my mind's wondering to all sorts of places. How'd she get in this situation in the first place.
"What happened?" I asked cautiously. "My boyfriend and I got into a fight." She answered with a sigh.
So she has a boyfriend? My heart immediately drops. "What about? If you don't mind me asking." I want to know about this guy. "Well I wanted to leave and then he called me a bitch in front of everyone." My eyes widen again.
"He shouldn't talk to you like that." I blurt. "He does it every once in a while and then he apologizes. It's fine." She says with a shrug.
My grip tightens on the wheel. "No it's not fine. How long have you guys been together?" I ask wanting to know just how long she's had to put up with this.
"2 years." My eyes widen. She's been with a guy that treats her like shit for 2 years? "He didn't start acting like this until a few months ago. Things used to be great." She says playing with her fingers.
"Why are you still with him?" I ask. She sighs. "I don't know." She answers truthfully and pushes a strand of hair behind her ear.
I know I could treat her better than that guy. I may not have much to give her but I'd give her everything.
