Ethan's POV:
Katie's still at Grayson's. I'm guessing I'm leaving by myself. Who knows if she's even going back to work.
Grayson's seemed to sweep her off her feet which I never managed to do apparently.
I knew someone like her wouldn't go for a no life like me. In a way I think she deserves Grayson. He could give her everything she needed where as I can't.
I'm snapped out of my thoughts because there's a knock at the door. I knit my eyebrows together as I make my way to the door.
My eyes widen when I swing the door open. "I'm just here to get my things." She mutters softly and my heart drops to my stomach.
"You're not going home?" I ask softly. "I will later to get all my belongings." She mutters.
"Are you coming back to work?" I ask quickly. Work would suck even more if she left. "No." She mutters, packing her things into her bag.
My heart is for sure shattered.
"I agreed to be Grayson's assistant so I'm moving here." She says flatly.
So she's just getting up and walking out of my life? Grayson took her just as I expected.
Tears threaten to spill from my eyes as she zips up her bag. "See you ethan." She stammers. Heading towards the door.
There's no point in stopping her. I know better.
She's way out of my league. I can't believe I talked to her that one day in the elevator. I should've known better.
