"Those men work for the royal family.""They want you Isa."
I didn't believe that guy, but my mother saying it was less funny. "Why do they want Isa all of a sudden, they had 16 years, why now?" Constance didn't want to let go of my hands. I stared at the tiara knowing my real father gave me it. I wanted to throw it off a cliff because I was that mad. "The current queen, your grandmother, has been murdered last night. Your father was suppose to be the heir, but he sadly passed away. He was the only child and his cousins were next in line, but you have Alexander's blood. That means you're the next reign of Amelia."
"WHAT!" Constance and I both shouted. As shocked as I was, I became mad, mad at my parents. "You guys lied to us, you lied to me my whole life." I dropped the tiara and ran upstairs. Everything was a lie. A random man who claims to be my father raised me. I couldn't take everything in. I threw the biggest tantrum of my life and I had the right to. No matter how much I tried, I couldn't get it out of my head.
In the shower I'm thinking about it.
Brushing my teeth I'm thinking about it.
Doing my homework I'm thinking about it.
Going to bed I'm thinking about it.
"GAH!" I hit my head multiple times.
"Is she okay?"
"I don't know..." I heard my two parents whisper through my door. "Go away!" I threw a pillow at my bedroom door, then heard a thump and knew they were finally gone. "Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. At this point, I hated life.
11:47 PM
No matter how much I tried, I couldn't sleep. I got up and walked the hallways. It was dead silent, everyone went to bed early. I went to the bathroom to wash my face.
I turned on the sink and started splashing water on my face. I looked up at the mirror and touched my face. "You're not fit to be a queen." I stared at myself, I was more mad at myself than my parents.
I left the bathroom and notice Constance's light was open. I gently walk over to her bedroom door and opened it. I notice her on her desk, writing. I take a step in and felt something right next to my toes. It was a crumble paper that Constance tried to throw away, but missed. I bent down and grabbed it from the ground. I took a look at it and right away knew it was her test.
"Hm? What are you doing here?" She stopped writing and looked at me. "Oh, I couldn't sleep." I hid her test behind me. "Me too, I'm just writing in my journal."
"Can I sleep with you tonight?"
"Sure thing, Let me finish up." I took a seat on her bed and hid the test under the pillow I was gonna sleep in. She closed her mini desk lamp and laid on the bed. We both laid down and stared at each other in the dark.
"Hey Isa..."
"Yeah?"
"Promise me you won't leave me." It was dark, but I could tell she was really scared of losing me. "I promise," She stuck out her pinky and made me pinky promise. She closed her eyes and fell asleep. It took me awhile, but I fell soundly asleep.
