I pushed Demi away from me and stood up pulling her

- We gotta get the fuck out of here! - I shouted in a whisper

Her face was of pure panic.. I have never seen her like this before

Since she wasn't budging I picked her up over my shoulder and picked up everything throwing it in the bag so we could go

I gave her the bag and then followed Alex so that we could run away from the fire staircase

- Go!! Come on Alex! - I said puttong her down

Demi looked at the window and that's when we heard them break in

- We can't make a sound! - I said to her as she nodded and climbed the window after Alex

I looked back at the door and told her to hurry the fuck up.. I could hear their slow steps... they were trying to hear if anyone was in the house

I finally climbed out the window and closed it behind me before following them down the stairs

We were now running full speed down Alex's fire staircase.. he shouted for us to follow him and so we did.. before I knew it, we were inside a car driving down the street

Me and Demi were in the back looking behind us watching my father's minions run down the street

I looked back at Demi and she stared at me.. her expression changed and I caught something in her eyes that told me exactly what she was going to do

We both moved at the same time pulling out a gun each and pointing at each other

- Guys!! What the fuck!! Can you all fucking put that down?! - Alex yelled

- Not until this little shit is out of the car - Demi shouted

- Why can't you see that I'm just trying to fucking help you?! - I shouted back

- Put your gun down

- After you

- I said, put your motherfucking gun down! Now!!

I gulped and chuckled.. Was she for real? I just helped her ass and this is what I get?

I let go of my gun and she picked it up putting it behind her

- Why is your father after me?

- I told you, your father was his arch enemy..

- Why?

- I don't fucking know!

- Did your father kill mine?

I gulped - I hope not

- DID HE?! - she shouted louder

I stood in silence as she started to get her eyes teary.. I could see the gun shake in her hands.. she was getting angry and sad.. she was getting ready to get revenge and suddenly, the look in her eyes was not comedic at all for me

Suddenly I, got scared..

Alex stopped the car and turned back around - Demi, put.. the gun.. down..

- Did he kill him or not?

- I honestly don't know Demi..

She stared at me and then finally lowered her weapon to look away

I looked at Alex and noticed how worried he was for her.. he was truly a great man

Demi sobbed and cleaned her eyes - Get the fuck out of the car - she quietly said

I waited for a while until I finally understood she wasn't going to say the opposite.. either I got out or she would make me do it..

I looked back at Alex and he nodded his head probably trying to assure me that he would take care of her

So I did..

I got out and watched the goddamn car speed away taking her from me

That was the last time I saw her..

Her crying eyes and her broken expression haunted me after that day

The last time..
