Jungkook's POV:

It was 5:30 on the dot and I was ready at the door, for my long planned birthday surprise. Not only did I want to celebrate her birthday yet I also wanted to thank her, for the A grade she got me for English. It was my first A in months and I was ecstatic, happier than I'd been in a while.

I knocked on the door, once, then twice, before someone opened the door.

"Jungkook! What are you doing here?" Ji-Young asked, her eyebrows furrowing.

"What do you think, it's your 18th birthday so we are going out."

"Oh, well let me go get a jacket and some money."

"It's all on me."

"Oh okay? What are you holding?" She asked. Her eyebrows furrowed further, making me chuckle due to her cuteness.

"Oh these? Just a little present." I said, pulling out a bunch of flowers and a box of chocolate from behind my back. She marvelled at the small bouquet I had chosen on the way here, which consisted of pale pink roses and daisies. She snatched the chocolate and bouquet before finding a vase and placing the flowers on the counter. Quickly she found a jacket and opened a cabinet full of shoes, before deciding to pair her mostly black outfit with a pair of tan timberland's, identical to mine.

"You wear Timberland's too?"

"Yeah, they are like one of my favourite shoes." She replied nonchalantly, pulling one timberland over her dainty foot.

"Marry me."

"I SHIP IT!" A familiar voice yelled from the couch, not bothering to divert his attention from the TV.

"Hyung were you listening to all of that?"

"Of course I was Jungkookie, this is some juicy stuff. Now go have fun." He chuckled as we opened the door. Just as I was to close it, I heard Jin's voice bellow again.

"REMEMBER, always use protection." Blush spread across both of our cheeks as we chuckled nervously about the inappropriate comment that only Jin would say.

The lights of the pier blared in the distance, the amusement park music audible from down the seafront. It was still light out yet the sun was beginning to set, making the clouds pink and the sky tinted with orange. A stream of cold, bitter wind battered our bodies and I heard Ji-Young squeal from the cold despite her jeans and hoodie and fluffy socks. I turned back, yanking along her slow self towards the pier.

I was going to spoil her with whatever she wanted. I was to feed her and feed her and just hope that she wouldn't throw it up in an effort to be skinny. I was going to make her laugh and smile for the whole few hours we would have together.

This day was going to be perfect.

Ji-Young's POV:
Jungkook grabbed my hand, pulling me forward to walk beside him, before placing his arm over my shoulders, his hand hanging by my neck. I adjusted, causing him to frown at me before realising and nuzzling closer in a teasing manner. Instead of moving away, I took the chance to also get closer, hoping to get warmer due to his body heat.

We arrived at the pier, Jungkook paid our entry fee before taking me through to the pier and to the first little stall. It sold classic pier amusement park food; chips and burgers, donuts and candy floss, ice cream and slushies.

"I heard you liked amusement park food" he chuckled, already holding out a box of mini suga donuts, his grin wide. I had been so lost in the thought of food, I hadn't realised him buying it. My stomach grumbled loudly due to not eating a proper meal in so long and I decided to satisfy the monster inside and let it be content for these few hours.
