Morning After

Morning seemed to come too soon. The light poured in from the curtain that was slightly ajar. Soreness ached throughout my body, but that way okay. An absent minded smile found it's way to my lips as I rolled over and admired Gray's sleeping features. I reached up and pushed some of his dark locks out of his face. I let my hand wander and lightly traced his jaw.

"Good morning." His raspy voice broke the silence. I slightly blushed and retracted my hand. "Did I wake you?" He placed a quick kiss on my forehead and sat up. "No." He ran a hand threw his hair and yawned. He swung his legs over the side of the bed and stood up. I wined slightly as he slid his pants on. "Are you leaving?"

"Yeah, I need to head down to the guild for something." He explained vaguely. I got up and hugged him from behind. "Will you stop by later?" I asked as I pressed my cheek against his upper back. "Of course." I smiled at his reply. "Oh, one more thing?"

"What is it?"

"I'm keeping this shirt." I said with a laugh. He chuckled and turned around, giving me a peck on the lip. "Okay."

The click of the door shutting signaled that I was alone. I put on my sweatpants to shield me from the chilly room. I walked through the apartment flipping light switches a few time, hoping they would magically come on. Eventually giving up, I opened up the curtains to let in natural light.

After about an hour of lounging around and rummaging my cabinets for premade food, the sound of the door opening and closing, followed by a familiar voice, filled the air. "(Y/n) I'm coming in." (F/n) called out as she walked to my room where I was sitting on my bed, doodling in a sketch book. I looked up at her and smiled. She sat down on the end of my bed, "I came by to check on you and make sure you were okay considering you ghosted me." I could tell she was worried. "I am a lot better now, I promise." I smiled at her, her eyes narrowed at me for a moment and leaned a little closer.

"How did you get a bruise on your-OH MY GOD IT'S A HICKEY. WHO GAVE YOU THAT?" She started yelling when she realized what it was. Not angry yelling, just very surprised. My face lit up bright red. "Don't be so loud! I have neighbors." I shushed her embarrassingly. She reached forward and pulled the neck of the shirt to the side, revealing the trail of love bites down to my shoulder. "There are so many! And this isn't your shirt... You totally hooked up with someone!" She was extremely surprised.

"I don't know why you are so shocked, I am an adult, you know..." I mumbled, face still bright red. "You are such an innocent bean, I just never pictured it. You haven't had a single relationship in the time that I have known you." She shook her head as she went on. "I can't believe it, you don't even have a boyfriend. How scandalous." She wiped at an imaginary tear as she continued to laugh. "Can we not talk about it." I said quietly, looking away.

"Absolutely not, now tell me who it was." She propped her head up on her wrist as she looked at me. I sighed. "You should already know who it is." She squealed, "Gray?" I nodded slowly. "You have to tell me about it. "

"NO!"

"I'm kidding, calm down." (F/n) teased. "Oh, on a different topic than your love life that apparently exists now, the main boss is coming to the store when the snow clears up to make sure everything is going smoothly after the power outage." I nodded. Considering it is a chain of boutiques, he didn't often come into the one I worked at. He was a very strange one, but I liked the rare occasions when he came into the store.
