When I woke up, I was super hungry so I decided to eat a piece of bread.

It's not much but at least it's better than hospital food ~ yuck!

I then remembered that today was the day I had to tell the gang.

It's Saturday, so they should all be at home making breakfast right now.

I guess I should save my appetite since I'm going down there anyways.

My mom walked down the stairs dressed and everything.

She asked, "You want to go there for breakfast?"

I nodded my head and said, "Yes, please. I guess I should tell them since we're leaving tomorrow."

I thought about it quickly and said, "Maybe we can do things today and have something to remember."

She smiled and said, "I know it's hard, but you'll make new friends."

I smiled and replied, "I'm doing this to get away from him."

She nodded and whispered, "I know."

She pulled me into a tight hug, and then we got into her car for a visit.

Driving down the roads of Oklahoma made me stop and take a look around of what I'm going to miss.

It's going to be sad when I'm gone, but I hope the gang will understand.

When we pulled up in their drive way, I froze scared to get out and tell them.

My mom looked at me and said, "Cmon now, I know it's going to be hard but you can call them every night."

I unbuckled my seat belt and started walking towards the door.

I thought to myself here goes nothing.

I opened the door and walked inside this house for the last time.

I looked around and smiled remembering my favorite memories.

Two-bit yelled throughout the kitchen, "Hey, Emma's here!"

They all greeted me as the door closed behind me.

"Hey guys....ooooh I smell bacon."

Darry laid the bacon on a plate and said, "Get 'em while they're hot or at least before Steve eats them all."

I rolled my eyes laughing grabbing me a plate and putting:

One peanut butter toast, four pieces of bacon, and a bowl of grits.

I sat at the table and crunches up the pieces of bacon and started spreading them all around in my grits.

I do this every time I have bacon and grits.

I asked, "Hey guys, where's Ponyboy?"

Some of them shrugged, and one of them kept eating.

Darry said, "He took Olivia out. Why?"

Soda looked at me as I said, "Oh, no reason. I just have something to announce."

This got everyone's attention.

He said, "Well, you can tell us we can tell him when he gets back."
