^^GO WATCH THE VIDEO
I. Am. Shooketh.
Wtf...wha...how the hell am I hearing thumps while watching a gif??
And I know it's not just me cuz 70% of the Internet claims they hear a thumping noise while watching this gif. **true statistic **
And before you smartasses ask, yes my volume was off.
Gifs are just silent clips...right??
This video is making me reconsider my entire existence.
Am I losing my mind?!?

I mean I just don't frickin understand why! Light travels in waves. Sound also travels in waves, but not the same frequency... so am I hearing things?
But what's weird is if I close my eyes, I can't hear it anymore! Which means the noise is directly related to the fact that I'm watching the clip, rather than the content of the clip itself!
Ayy ya girl's making some scientific discoveries.
Maybe it's like human instinct to associate jumping objects with thumping noises. To hear things that aren't actually there, because our brains want those noises to be there. If there's movement, there must be sound to match the movement. And if there isn't any sound, we imagine it like it's there.
Goddamn now I'm even more confused than before.

I just wasted half an hour of precious sleep obsessing over this.
But hey, it's a pretty creative gif. So no regrets.
