"Maybe you're right," I always hate to admit that I'm wrong but she's my mom. She knows me better than anyone else. Louis comes quite close but the rest doesn't know half of me. They know what I allow them to know. Not that I don't want them to know me but I just don't know if I can trust people since.. It doesn't matter anyway.

"Honey, your phone is buzzing."

"Really? Oh, I didn't notice." I grab my phone, expecting it to be Louis, and see the notification of Eleanor. Missed call.
I  don't really feel like calling her right now so I decide to text her.

'Hey, what's up?'

E: 'I just wanted to ask if you'd like to go to a theme park with us.'

'Who is "us"?'

E: 'Just you, me, Louis and Freddie?'

'And why exactly do you want me to come?'

E: 'Well, you're Louis' best friend since forever and during all this time I've been dating him, we still haven't had the chance to get to know each other. And at the same time, Freddie can have some fun with his dad. Louis is still a kid sometimes, you know. So what do you think?'

'Okay, sounds good to me.'

E: 'Great, what do you think of tomorrow afternoon?'

'I'll see you then!'

The next day

Did I sound excited over text yesterday? I ask myself, while brushing my hair and picking some clothes for today. Because I wasn't. Why do I have to hang out with my best friend/crush's girlfriend? What are we gonna talk about? I don't get it, I really don't. Then I got a text from my best friend Anna.

A: 'Do you have any plans for today?'

'Oh, I didn't tell you?'

A: 'Tell me what? What are you going to do?'

'Eleanor asked me to go to a theme park with Freddie and Louis.'

A: 'Why does she want you to come to a theme park with her boyfriend and his son?'

'She said "she wanted to get to know me better because I'm his bff.'

A: 'Sound weird to me.'

'I was thinking that too but maybe I'll like her after today and maybe I can accept her and Louis being together. Anyways, I have to go. I'll talk to you later xx'

A: 'Have fun xx'

Oh I will.

At the theme park

There I am standing all alone in the theme park we agreed to meet up, wondering where they are. Why aren't they here yet.
