"I love this store." Eleanor says, looking at all those dresses. Today is the day: Eleanor is gonna buy her weddingsdress, and since I'm one of her bridesmaid she asked me to come with her. "I hope I find my perfect dress. I wanna look extra good for Louis." She has the biggest smile on her face; she looks so happy. Deep inside it feels bad that I'm jealous. It's not that I don't like her; I just don't like the fact that she's gonna marry Louis.
As we walk into the store, a woman walks up to us. "Are you Eleanor Calder?" I can see she has to hold her fangirling back. I can't blame her.
Eleanor nodds her head. "Yep, that's me."
"Great," the lady says. "Follow me." On our way to "our" place, we cross other brides trying dresses on. They all look so happy, ready to get married to the love of their life. "You can sit here."
Eleanor sits on the pretty rose chair, decorated with some flowers. Me and the rest sit on this beautiful white bench. You can see that this store is professional: everything is just perfect. Every dress is different but special in their own way.
4 hours and tons of dresses later
"I love this dress! I think I'll take this one!" Eleanor says with a big, true smile on her face. Not faked, like mine. "What do you think?"
"As long as you're happy, I'm happy." I mean, if she's going to marry the man I love then I'm happy with this beautiful White dress.
"Are you sure? I mean, you don't look happy. You've been looking all said since the moment we arrived? Are you okay? You know you can tell me anything, right?"
Yeah sure: I've been in love with your fiancé since we were little kids and now you're gonna marry him so I'm totally breaking down. "I know but I'm really okay. You look stunning in that dress." I smile.
She answers with an unconvinced "Okay then.. I guess.."
At home
"Mom, I'm home!"
"Oh hey sweetie. How was shopping?"
"It was okay."
"Did Eleanor find her dress?" I remember when my mom got married to my dad. We went looking for a dress together. At first we didn't really agree but she bought a satin dress with roses on it. She really loves dresses.
"I guess. She looked really happy." She did look really happy. I'd be a horrible person if I'd ruin that.
She lays her hand on my shoulder and whispers: "I know it's hard but everything will be okay. I promise, darling."
"I hope so. I really hope so." I hope so.. "Anyways, I should get dressed. I'm gonna hang out with Harry."
"Are you two dating?"
"Yes, we are dating?"
"Are you sure that's a good idea? Are you sure you don't do it because you want forget about Louis? Don't play with his feelings, Yasmin."
