••• "Hey, kiddo." Chaeyoung greets Bam Bam when the young boy opens the door.
"Hey." He smiles at the brunette and turns to go back in the living room. Chaeyoung closes the front door and then follows him.
"Where's Lisa?"
"She's in the shower." Bam answers as he sits on the floor in front of the coffee table and takes his pencil, going back to his work.
"What are you doing?" Chaeng asks as she goes to sit on the couch next to Bam Bam.
"Lisa said I can do her homework except math, so I'm doing just the math. It's easy." Bam Bam shrugs, making Chaeyoung chuckle. Of course Bam Bam would show off his intelligence, he's just like Lisa only more intense. Lisa is more passive when it comes to proving her smartness. She doesn't really care what anyone thinks. She's a mathematical genius and she knows it.
"You know what? Maybe I should take this since your sister likes doing her math homework herself, ok?" Chaeyoung asks but doesn't wait for Bam's answer as she takes the notes from the young boy. She could definitely use it, she hates math. And she knows it would lead to a fight if Lisa found out that Bam Bam did her math homework. Lisa and Bam Bam fight all the time and Chaeyoung often finds herself in the middle. It's not as fun as it sounds.
"No! But we're always partners in crime, Rosé!" Bam whines, making the brunette smile because that's as far as Bam Bam would go to express any kind of feeling.
"Yeah, I know. When it's about other people. But Lisa is my best friend and I can't let you do that to her."
"Yeah, right. 'Best friend'." Bam Bam says mockingly and rolls his eyes, making Chaeyoung's eyes go wide in panic. Bam Bam can't possibly know that Lisa and her are actually together. No. Lisa wouldn't say anything, she promised.
"Wh-what do you mean?" She asks, trying to hide how in shock she is but her voice is shaky and her heart is thudding like crazy inside her chest because she's scared of what Bam Bam is going to say.
"Well..." Bam trails off as he turns to study the brunette's face. She looks genuinely terrified that Bam Bam knows she's at least not straight. The young boy doesn't know for sure but he thinks that Chaeyoung and his sister are not just friends. He's fourteen, he's not a baby, and he thinks that it's pretty obvious with their eye-contact and constant touching.
It's not like Bam Bam has a problem with that. Actually, He would have a problem if they weren't anything more than just friends. But obviously Chaeyoung doesn't want anyone to know and Bam Bam understands how scared the brunette is, so he just laughs it off. "Bestest friend is more accurate because I'm your best friend, right?"
