💜"Lalisa Manoban!" She stops dead in her tracks when she hears that voice calling her name just before she can step out of the building she works at. She slowly turns around, like a child caught with her hand in the cookie jar, and forces a smile at her friend who quickly walks up to her. "Were you going to leave without saying goodbye?"
"No." Lisa immediately shakes her head but Hoseok looks pointedly at her, making her sigh.
"Yes.""What's going on with you?"
"I'm just in a hurry, my friend's waiting for me." Lisa shrugs.
Her friend is Chaeyoung and she's waiting just outside the building. And she hasn't seen her since yesterday. Yesterday. That's like...too long.Lisa was already in the neighborhood because she had a meeting somewhere around here about a commercial that she's going to record, so they agreed to meet here and go to Chaeyoung's place together. But Hoseok is distracting Lisa and keeping her away from her lovely girlfriend.
"Who's your friend?" Hoseok asks, like he has no idea who it might be but he actually knows, which confuses the her because he's never talked about Chaeyoung to her. So, Hoseok isn't supposed to know that Lisa knows Chaeyoung. Like, that she knows Chaeyoung in person, not just Chaeyoung the radio personality and producer.
And she doesn't want Hoseok knowing that either, because Hoseok definitely knows and follows Chaeyoung. Maybe he's her fan too.
"Just this friend..." She trails off and rubs the back of her neck nervously as she throws a glance behind her to make sure that Chaeyoung isn't anywhere in sight. She knows that she's here though, because she texted her two minutes ago.
"Does your friend have a name?"
"Why are you making me feel like I'm cheating on you or something?" Lisa asks defensively, Making Hoseok laugh.
"Fine, don't tell me." He shrugs but doesn't let Lisa speak.
"So, anyway. Ms. Lee is looking for you." He tells her then, making Lisa's eyes go wide in fear.
"Tell her I'm not here, ok? I left." She whispers and looks around to make sure that her boss hasn't seen her. "Ok? I left."
"Why are you avoiding her?" Hoseok wonders as Lisa shifts uncomfortably and looks behind her to make sure that Chaeyoung is still not there.
"She's mean. She's a mean boss." Lisa frowns disapprovingly.
"And she's extra mean with me, I don't get it. Do you?""No, I don't know about Lee, ok? Forget about it. Now we have bigger problems." Hoseok says seriously, which makes Lisa panic even more because what is more serious than coming to work every day thinking that she's going to get fired? She really needs her job. "You need to come tomorrow night at the bar. You've been ditching us for weeks now and that's how you lose your friends, Lisa."
"That's the bigger problem?" Lisa asks pointedly.
"Yeah, come on!" Hoseok pleads, making Lisa sigh. "And you can bring your 'anonymous friend' too." Lisa stares blankly at him, because he can't possibly know who it is. "Seriously, Lisa?" Hoseok is not amused.
But when Lisa still stares blankly at her, Hoseok's eyebrows rise challengingly. He takes his phone out of his pocket and shuffles on it for a few seconds before giving it to her.
And there on the screen, Lisa sees a photo of Chaeyoung and her standing just outside Chaeyoung's apartment building. It's blurry and zoomed in, so it's probably taken from afar. Lisa would definitely remember if a stranger was taking pictures of her in front of her. She would find it weird and creepy.
