Chapter Seven

"Nikki, help." Nicole is already on her feet and running towards her voice. She sees them and three wolves snarling at her and Maggie. Nicole pushes them back and shifts in front of the wolves. She growls at them getting their attention all on her. She sees Max right down beside her.

Andra grabs the girls and rushes them back home while Andrew stays in his human form. "Shift and tell me what you are doing on this land." He says his voice rising with power. The three just snarl up at him. They've had enough and the front one lunges at Nicole, while the other two at Max and Andrew. Andrew shifts quickly before the wolf gets to him.

Nicole pins the wolf that came after her and puts her teeth right by his neck giving it a bite. He whimpers causing the other two to stop fighting and look over. Nicole growls and can tell the wolf tells them to back off. The two wolves back away from Max and Andrew. Nicole gives a little nip before letting him go. The three wolves sprint off in the other direction.

She looks over at Andrew and Max glad to see they aren't hurt. The three then run back to her house. Andra opens the door for them and Nicole goes to Maddie on the floor. She puts her nose in her lap. Maddie smiles down at her and pets her head. Nicole licks her and then goes down to her room to shift back. She pulls on shorts and another t-shirt before walking out. "You guys might be able to find somethin' to wear in George's room." She says pointing to the closed door. The two wolves nod and make their way down to the room. She gets patted in the butt and looks at Andrew. "What?" She asks and Max paws the door. She laughs and walks down to open it.

"Maddie did they hurt you?" Nicole asks looking over at her. She shakes her head still holding Maggie to her chest.

"I was jus' walkin' and then they jumped out at us, but you got there almost right away." She says with a smile. "They gone?" She asks and Nicole nods. She looks up at Andra and nods her head to the kids. She nods her head and sits down next to the girls.

Without warning, Nicole opens George's door. She keeps her eyes up, yet Max still screams. "Nicole, you could knock." He says quickly pull a pair of pants on. Andrew just laughs and looks up at her.

"Who were they? Rogues? Enemies?" She asks taking a seat on the bed. Andrew sits down near her and looks up at Max.

"They weren't from a pack we new." He says and Nicole nods her head.

"They've found us already theyn." She says putting her head into her hands. "Dammit." She says standing up and beginning to pace.

"Who is they?" Andrew asks standing up.

"From the war, no one was supposed to survive from Luna Colomba." She says shaking her head.

"Wait, your pack was the Italian one?" Max asks. She looks up at him and nods her head.

"Damn." He says and she nods.

"That's a lot of enemies," Andrew says and she looks up at him.

"No, just one....Blachhunter's." She says and both Max and Andrew tense up.

"Why would they still be after you. You were like what, eight years old?' Andrew asks and she nods her head.

"Thay think we took thair Luna a yar befowr thuh war an blame us for every death that they've had. I don't know thuh full story, jus' that thay 'ate us. That's why I moved us uhp fuh-ar, fuh-ar, fuh-ar away from 'em." She says and puts her head against the wall. She hits her head a few times.

"Nicole, stop. Everything going to be ok." Andrew says and she turns around to look at him.

"No, it's not. I can't win agains' all of them. They won't stop till they kill me and my family." She says and starts mumbling in Italian. Andrew slowly walks up to her.
