Chapter Twentytwo

 "Ok, I just got news. They spotted them and are on there way. Get ready for a fight." The Alpha says to the pack around him. He mindlinks everyone else and people begin getting the children to safety, while others are preparing to fight.

"Ok, Addison, Avery's scared, that means this is going to be bad. Be prepared and make sure everyone here isn't going to freeze on you." Nicole says getting ready to get out of the hospital and in her spot.

"I might call you in, you know what to do and I might need that." She says. Nicole nods her head.

"Ok, thanks for the heads up." She says before running out. She runs to Max as he comes out of where the kids are.

"Both Maddie and Maggie are safe. I help guard around here, they aren't going to get to them." He says knowing her mind is going to be on them the whole time. She runs back to other groups making sure everything's in order. She doesn't want to lose anyone if she can help it.

"Nicole." She hears and turns around. The women bows her head before beginning to talk again. "We can't find Madison. She's 13, she's not a fighter though." The women says with worry. Nicole nods her head. She mindlinks the pack and finds out she's with Addison.

"She's helping in the hospital. You're Lana right?" She asks and the woman nods her head. "She's going to be fine Lana, she's been working with both Addison and Andra." Lana nods her head and walks off going to her duties.

"Nicole, is everything alright on the north and east side?" Jake asks.

"Yes, everything in order along with everyone." He nods his head looking around as everyone running to where they need to be.

"Have you seen Andrew? He should have checked in with me already." He says looking around.

"I'll find him Alpha." She says running back into the pack house. Andrew, where are you? She mindlinks finding the house empty as is should be. She doesn't get anything back and begins to worry. She runs back out and finds everything is set for the west and south side. She mindlinks that to Jake, but continues to look for Andrew.

She goes into the woods seeing everyone's already shifted. She shifts and starts running. Her wolf takes over trying to find him. She finds herself so far out that her pack isn't out there. She hears noises and knows that the rogues are coming. She starts running again.

She runs for another five minutes and hears him growl. She runs faster and stops before going through the bushes. She sees him pinned by three wolves and two others circling around. She walks around and then lunges. She gets the wolf, distracting the others. Andrew gets himself free from the ones he was under and fights them.

Andrew's fighting three of them while the other two are trying to attack Nicole. They both kill one almost at the same time and fight the other ones. Nicole and Andrew start getting close to each other and soon they're both fighting the three. Nicole almost gets bit, but ducks her head and bites instead. She tastes blood almost instantly and wants it out of her mouth. Shaking her head and throwing him to the side makes it easy for Andrew and she to kill the other two. Andrew puts his head on hers taking time to breath. Thank you. He mindlinks and pulls away from her. She bends down and licks a cut on his leg.

You ok? Looks kinda deep. She mindlinks looking back up to him. He nods his head his fur in all directions. We need to get back and help. She says turning around and beginning to run back to the pack. Andrew runs alongside of her and they see that all the rogues have come to the pack. The two of them start attacking from behind knowing they can't get through all of them.

They end up grabbing too much attention from the rogues and more and more start trying to fight them. We can't keep this up for much longer. Andrew mind links as two more wolves join in. Nicole and Andrew walk in circles waiting for someone to attack. Nicole's paw has been going numb again, but she keeps shaking it. She can't lose control with it right now.
