"Yes Luna." He says once they're out of the room.
"Andrew I understand you want her to live here, but this is a big adjustment for her. She just went through something terrible and doesn't feel like she has anyone that can help her. She wants to try and forget about it and being here is going to remind her of it. She doesn't know you are mates, therefore she doesn't feel the need to be here. You need to calm down and let her do what she wants. When she's ready she will come back. Do you understand?" She asks giving him a warning look.
"Yes Luna, but she-"
"No, if she wishes to go back to her house that's fine. I already told her you, Max and probably Andra would check in on her. She just wants to go back to her home. I know what that feels like, being taken from the one place you felt in control and then into this whole new world. It's a change and yes I'm talking about me going from a normal human life to this, but it's the same principal. She just needs time to adjust to the new lifestyle she had. Now if you can't keep your emotions under control you need to go somewhere else. She's still getting better and someone yelling at her isn't going to help." She scolds and he nods his head looking down at his feet knowing she's right. "Alright, go do what you think is best." She says and then is off down the hallway.
Andrew takes a few breaths, pacing a little while, and then opens the door back up. He sees Nicole playing with Maggie in her lap. He takes a seat and notices that she doesn't even glance at him. She just lifts Maggie into the air and then brings her back down. Maggie giggles each time and Nicole starts making noises at her. "You're a heavy girl." Nicole says and stops lifting her up as her arms are tired. Maggie starts whining and Nicole smiles. "Fine." She says lifting her back into the air. She does this for a while and can feel her heart rate picking up.
She stops and feels a wave of dizziness come over her. "Andrew, take her." She says and he jumps realizing she talked to her. He stands up and grabs Maggie and then Nicole falls to the side. He catches her with one arm and mindlinks Addison. She comes running in and helps Nicole back into her bed. Maggie begins crying and Andrew holds her to his chest and starts swaying back and forth as he watches what Addison does to Nicole.
"Dammit, Nicole." He hears her mutter and feels his chest tighten. He goes to ask her what's wrong but knows if he stays silent she'll tell him when she's done. He continues to sway even when Maggie stops crying. "She just pushed her body to hard. Not having eaten or any sleep makes it difficult for her to do anything. Do you know if she...she starves herself?" She asks and Andrew furs his eyebrows.
"She doesn't eat much because she made sure that Maggie and Maddie got food. At lunch, she would buy food, but stick it into her bag. When I had followed her, she's given her lunch for Maddie's dinner." He says and she nods her head.
"What about sleep? She doesn't seem to do that either." Addison says and he shakes his head.
"I don't know why she wouldn't. She hadn't slept for like 15 days when I'd followed her. She ended up passing out at work. She does this thing where she looks like she's sleeping, but she's just resting her eyes. She tends to do it in class." He says and she nods her head again.
"That's probably the only way she gets anything close to sleep. I don't think she slept well after the war, but I think things got better until her sister died. Judging from her health, she seems to only sleep when her body makes her. Do you know what her home life is like?" She asks and he takes a breath.
"Her sister's mate used to live with her, but he'd left a note saying he killed himself and she wouldn't be able to find him. His wolf would have...rages. He's hurt her before, physically. She'd came to school with bruises on her neck, but got very defensive when I asked about it. I know she works and has to bring them to work with her because it's just her. She never really has her homework done, yet manages to not get detention because she manipulates the teachers." He says with a smile and a shake of his head. "She puts everything she has and is for these girls, I don't think she's ever done anything for herself." He says feeling angry that she's been put under all this pressure.
