You were once a part of me
Together we were a match
A match made in the heavens
We would ride the clouds over the mountains
We had the time of our lives
We've known each other for a lifetime
Only being together for only a limited time
If only we had known
If only we had seen the future
The choices we made would have been different
And now you're no longer with me
You've left me with a torn soul
A thorn bush where there was once a hole
I shouldn't have allowed you to be part of me
Now I'm wallowing in my own tears
Every time i see your face
Every time i hear your name
It brings back memories
Memories that i no longer have access to
Memories that are now a taboo for me
I wish i could have you all to myself again
But we all know we can't have what we wish for.
