I came brandishing words
To impress and win you over
Made promises that are impossible
Swore oaths that are unfathomable
But that's my heart speaking
My mind and brain are on a holiday
Appearing before you after a lot of trials
Hoping to be accepted.
You accepted me, i swallowed whole my heart
Tore it out from my chest
Presented it to you, and you caressed it
"Safe and sound" you told me.
I came alive that day, brighter than the sun
From ear to ear my smile
I vowed your happiness my burden to bare
Your pain my cross to carry.
Loving you is all i care for.
I know only one thing, that i love you.
