Dunked in an eternal state of slumber
Submerged in the sea of intoxication
Found myself without peace, and in pieces
the world wartorn, in shambles
Curses thrown from side to side
Every receiving end in fear of defeat
Defeat a treat for the wise
Victory a feat for the powerful
A world where peace is a dream
War an everlasting reality
Emotions detrimental and destructive
Protocol adopted as the way of life
Why should i awaken
To meet eternal pain
never ending suffering
Cascading over my eyelids
Common sense, dead in society
As rules and regulations govern our lives
The thirst for knowledge blinding our sight
Dead in a cold, lifeless society
In an eternal state of slumber
Submerged in the sea of intoxication
My body slowly decaying
Yet my mind, wide awake!
