When Stan and Bill said that they would be hanging over at Michael's house, Michael almost had a heart attack

When Stan and Bill said that they would be hanging over at Michael's house, Michael almost had a heart attack. That evening, the four boys and Richie were going to be playing Dungeons and Dragons more than they should have and were going to have a sleepover (Michael said no so they wouldn't find out about the girl that was coming.)

D&D was something that Stan's family would maybe be terrified of their son playing such a "satanic" game, but they came anyway with the others while Eddie was going to go home to talk to his mom about hanging out with the boys without saying that Will was in that group.

It was almost five in the afternoon. The sun still staying in the sky, but all of them could only see it from the rectangle window that stood above the fort in the basement. There was loud voices in the basement, a commotion that Michael had always had in his time there, but he had never had this many people in his basement playing D&D. There were seven of them, all of them surrounded by a large table while the six boys began playing their new characters.

Michael was at the end of the table, his binder hiding everything he was going to play along. Inside, his notebook that had their campaigns that he had written inside, but this time they had new characters in their guild.

Richie had made his character only last weekend when he had come over without Mike's permission or consent. Mike had called him a douche when the boy had come in, saying that he would have to start their campaign all over. Richie only made it worse when he became a monk gnome named "Sir Richard the Douche" after Michael's comment. Lucas and Dustin laughed at the name, but Michael was still very pissed off about it.

Bill's D&D character was a half elf fighter named Billiam the Stolid. His character kind of showed a lot of Bill's strong and determined attributes which the group didn't really mind. He reminded Mike of Aragorn from Lord of the Rings, which he and the other boys had read that summer.

Stan's character was Stanley the Gentle, who was a half elf, but his class was actually a Druid. Even though he had weak health, his abilities with using nature actually helped them a lot in the end with Will's cleric abilities. He was kind of great playing as Stanley because it showed Stan's scared side whenever they were attacked by monsters.

Though it was great that the boys had a bigger party and for all of them to hang out together, everything was crazy. Richie was always being loud which made Nancy come downstairs more than she needed to talk to the boys about being quiet. Lucas and Dustin were arguing all the time through the campaign, which made Stan come into the argument and shut both of them up. The only ones who were caring about the game in general were Michael, Will, and Bill, which was all very frustrating to make the others concentrate.

"You can hear a growl coming from the cave in front of you! It's loud roar sounds almost like a dragon, do you go in?" Michael asked, looking at the others with a cynical and serious expression.

"No," Stan replied quickly, his eyes looking back at the others. "This doesn't seem like the right thing to do,"

"Right?" Lucas asked with furrowed brows who sat right next to Mike and Richie, leaning on the table. "What do you mean?"
