Though everyone else was having a great time at the Wheeler's for a sleepover, Eddie was thinking about how he was not going to be scolded by his mother because he was going to a sleepover at the Wheeler's house with three girls. Of course, he had done this a million times before, but it was when it was the actual truth, not a lie. Eddie had never lied before because his mother told him that he would die in hell if he did, but now, it looked like he had to.
He sat on his bed with his clothes and things inside his dark backpack that laid next to him while he struggled on what to say. His breathing becoming faster and harder to breathe in before he grabbed his aspirator and triggered the tap water medicine that loosened his throat. He sighed, placing it back into his fanny pack before he began to think again.
After a few minutes, he began to hear something from his window. Tap, the sound rang from his room, making him jump to the ceiling. What the hell was that? Eddie thought inside his head. He decided to ignore it, thinking that it was just something else.
Then, it happened again and again. Eddie's brows began to furrow in confusion. Who is doing that? He thought. He quietly stood up, walking towards the window as he tried to see from below. "Great," Eddie muttered as he couldn't see anyone.
So, being the brave boy that he was, he unlocked the window revealing the cold air of autumn and popped his head out. As he did, something hit him hard in the face right at his cheeks. "Ow!" Eddie exclaimed in pain, not seeing who had thrown the rock as he rubbed his cheek hoping that there wasn't a cut because his mother would probably kill him if there was one.
He could hear laughing from below him after he was hit with the rock. He opened his round eyes, glaring to find out who it was to see that it was Richie, crying his eyes out from laughing so hard. Richie laid his head to the air while his arms wrapped around his stomach from laughing hard. Eddie could feel embarrassment turn his cheeks red.
"What the fuck, Richie?!" Eddie exclaimed quietly, his voice laced in anger to hide his own embarrassment while Richie's laughter had died down, wiping the tears from his eyes.
"Sorry Eds. You were taking so long having fun with your mom that I decided to take her for myself," Richie smirked, making Eddie more red and furious.
"Shut up, Richie!" Eddie exclaimed in annoyance. "My mom could hear you!"
"Yeah, I can hear her moans in bed when I'm with her," Richie joked with a smirk.
"If you talk about my mom one more fucking time-" Eddie was beginning to say, but he could hear heavy footsteps coming towards his room. "Shit," He accidentally said aloud.
He looked back at Richie as the boy with the large glasses smiled innocently. "Having trouble talking to your mom about the sleepover?" Richie asked, pushing up his glasses.
"I guess you can say that," Eddie muttered quietly, the footsteps were now right at his door. I'm so screwed. He thought. He looked back at Richie. "I gotta go, my mom's at the door. Can you please help me talk to her about the sleepover?"
