Hiccup Haddock, a tall male with shaggy auburn hair and gorgeous emerald eyes, was sitting on the school bleachers, lost in thought as he drew his crush, Astrid Hofferson, training for her newest soccer game on the school oval. Hiccup has had a crush on Astrid ever since he laid eyes on her, but has never worked up the courage to tell her, let alone talk to her. With a final sigh Hiccup packed his drawing equipment into his school bag and decided to head down the bleachers to his car.

"SON OF A HALF TROLL"

Hiccup jumped at the sudden outburst and turned around to find his crush laying down on the school oval. At first he though that she was just taking a break, but when he saw her trying to get up, she failed and fell back down again. Hiccup knew she was in pain, so he sucked up his pride and ran down to her side.

"Astrid, ar-are you Ok" Hiccup said quietly, creeping closer. He didn't get and answer, so he decided to speak up.

"Astrid, is everything alright?"he asked.

"Oh yeah, everything is perfect" Astrid replied, sarcasm dripping from her voice.

"Well" Hiccup started, finally coming into her view "you don't sound too well"

"I just fell over, that's all" Astrid said, covering her face from the sun.

"Do you need some help to get up?" Hiccup asked, concerned for his crush.

"No!" She quickly said, looking at Hiccup. He looked disappointed for some reason so Astrid quickly added a 'thank you'

"Ok then" Hiccup said, looking down. "I guess I'll see you tomorrow then. Bye Astrid"

Hiccup slowly walked away, looking back once or twice, half hoping she would call out for him to help. He was nearly Of the pitch when he heard a muffled cry from where Astrid was. Looking back, Hiccup saw Astrid trying to stand up, putting most of her weight onto her right leg. Knowing that something was wrong he ran back to help Astrid.

"Ok, I KNOW you need my help" he said, trying to sound stern, but comforting at the same time.

"Fine" Astrid practically growled, "just help me over to the bench"

Hiccup looked to his left, to where Astrid was pointing. Then, summoning up his courage, he put one hand around her waist, the other guiding Astrid's hand around his neck, coming to a rest on his shoulder. He started slowly walking towards the bench, careful not to go too fast so Astrid wouldn't get hurt. Once they reached the bench Astrid spoke up.

"Thanks, I guess"

"Any day" was Hiccups replay, a sudden boost of confidence bursting through him. "Can you stand?"

"I'll try" Astrid said, resting her hands next to herself and on the bench. Astrid tried to stand up, wincing in pain once or twice. Finally she gave up, slumping down onto the bench.

"I can't" she said, hard coming to a rest in her hands.

Hiccup, with his sudden boost of confidence, rested a hand on her back, tracing supportive circles with his hand.

"Does it hurt anywhere?" He asked, dread filled in his eyes.

"My left leg" Astrid replied, "I think I might have sprained it"

Hiccup gulped. He stood up and knelt down in front of Astrid so she could see his face.

"I'm sure it's nothing that bad" Hiccup said, setting his hand under Astrid's chin, lifting it up so she could look into his eyes. "Why don't you come home with me and we can figure it out then"

"Hmm" Astrid thought for a minute before saying, "that would be good".

Hiccup told Astrid to stay put while he went and drove his car as close to the pitch as he could. While he was doing that Astrid told her parents that she was going to a friends house to study and complete a project, not wanting to worry them. When Hiccup came back he first grabbed Astrid's bag, then helped her to his car, careful not to hurt her foot anymore. When they got to the car Hiccup helped her in ams then drove off to his house.
