Donnie's POV
"I've been thinkin' latelyyy
Yeah, I've been thinkin' 'bout a lot lately
Thinkin' 'bout you, and how much I miss you
Thinkin' 'bout how much I wish you were here,
(chorus)
I wish you knew just how much I miss you
And I wish you knew how much I wanna sayyy.
And if you were here, I would hold you close
And if you were here, I would make sure you kno-o-ow
That IIII love youu
Yeah, IIII love youuu
So I've been prayinnn'
Sayin' I want you baaack
Yeah I've been prayinnn'
Beggin' God to give you baaack
Because
I wish you knew just how much I miss you
And I wish you knew how much I wanna sayyy.
And if you were here, I would hold you close
And if you were here, I would make sure you knoow
That IIII love youu
Yeah, IIII love youuu
So I want you to know
That I really miss you
And I wish you were here
So I could kiss you
Because IIII love youu
Yeah, IIII loveee youuuuu..." I sang, playing the guitar along. Ava's eyes were watery, she clapped a little bit.
"Oh my God Donnie, that was beautiful! That's so sweet of you!" She said. I blushed harder as I put the guitar back away. I shrugged as I sat back down
"It's not that special, it's just a short little song I wrote, it doesn't even rhyme that much..." I said
"Songs don't have to rhyme Don, not good songs. Songs rhyme or are just a bunch of hollow words that don't mean anything to the writers. Good songs, and real songs, come from the heart Don. They tell a story or mean something to the writer. They don't have to rhyme or anything, they just have to be special. This song is clearly special, and straight from your heart, it's a beautiful song Donnie." She explaioned. I sighed, she did know a lot about music, not so much playing, but listening, and I trusted her judgement on this. I sighed
"I don't think it's that good though...." I said.
"Don," She put a hand on my shoulder, causing me to look up at her, "It's great, I'm sure Lily loves it."
I sighed and smiled.
"Thanks Ava." I said. She smiled and patted my shoulder
"No problem buddy. Now, I gotta go talk some sense into those bitches you call your brothers. Now, come here buddy." She said, opening her arms. I smiled and hugged her, she hugged me back, rubbing my shell gently. I liked this. I didn't love her. God, not at all! She was Raph's girlfriend, and I wasn't interested in her anyway, and she wasn't interested in me. We were like siblings. She was like a sister to me. I felt comfortable around her, but we weren't TOO close, just as close as siblings, nothing more, nothing less. And I liked having her to be there for me when Lily wasn't. After about a minute, we let go of eachother and she stood up. She smiled at me.
