One thing after another

I quickly pushed Lily backwards, covering her. I put my head in my shell and clenched my eyes and teeth shut. The wall hit the top of my shell hard, and I was sent flying back towards the leopard. I quickly stopped myself and kept down until I was through the door. Thank god for shells. It was raining like hell outside. Lightning and thunder all around, I didn't realise it was this bad. I looked up and saw Lily sitting up, rubbing her head. I crawled over to her and checked the back of her head.

"Are you ok?" I asked quickly. She nodded.

"Yeah, just hit my head, Im fine!" She shouted over the rain banging on the top of the metal truck. She looked past me and her eyes went wide, "Donnie! Your shell!" She exclaimed. I looked to my right and saw a large piece of my shell was missing, larger than Raph's missing piece. It shocked me for a moment but I shook my head.

"I'll deal with it later, we have to stop these people first." I said. She nodded. I looked towards the front of the truck. There was a guy leaning out of the passenger side window. He had a gun aimed at us. I pulled Lily down flat against the truck as he shot.

"Stay low!" I warned her. She nodded. I started to inch my way to the front of the car while Lily stayed where she was. I pulled out my staff, ready to knock the gun out of his hand, and possibly knock him out as well. I was almost to the front, about to reach down, when I heard an ear-piercing scream.

I whipped around and saw that the leopard had gotten up. It had it's jaw locked on Lily's leg, and she was screaming for help. I got up and got to her quickly. I couldn't knock the leopard out without sending it's teeth either further into her leg or forcing them to tear sideways.

I tot on top of it's back and put my feet on it's front paws. The leopard was weak, it was focusing all it's energy into Lily. She was still screaming.

"Hold on Lily! Hold on! Just stay calm! I'll get you out of this! I promise!" I shouted. I heard laughing from the front of the truck. I was filled with a sudden rage towards these people, but I had to focus on the task at hand.

I grabbed the cat's head by it's top and bottom jaws and tried to pry them apart and off of Lily. It was extremely hard, but I was slowly making progress. The leopard tried to hold back, but eventually it had no more energy. It released it's jaws and laid down it's head. I quickly took out my staff again and whacked it hard in the head twice, making sure it was fully knocked out.

Of course, nothing can go right for too long. It's always one thing after another. I heard two gunshots and Lily's scream, before seeing Lily fall off the back of the truck.

"LILY!" I cried. I ran to the back and looked around. I couldn't see her anywhere. I looked down and saw she had caught the handle of the back door. She had two bullet holes in her left shoulder and biscep, and was holding on with her right arm.

"Lily! Are you ok?! I'm gonna get you out of this!" I shouted before trying to figure out a plan. It should've been simple. Any dumbass could think of it. Pull her up. Use my staff. But I couldn't think of it. I was so panicked, so much was happening all at once. I couldn't think straight at all.

"Wait! Donnie! I have an idea!" She exclaimed. I looked at her questioningly.

"What?" I asked. She didn't answer. She just started to undo the haphasard lock on the back. The doors swung open forcefully and the giant canisters of mutagen flew out, crashing and breaking all over the ground.

Lily lost her grip.

She was sent screaming to the ground. . . Into the mutagen.

Hey guys! So this chapter is a little longer than what I'm gonna be doing. I wanted to give you some "quality" stuff to get back into it. Also I wanted to leave off at a good spot.

Chapters from now on could be anywhere from twice this length to half this length.

So hopefully this format helps me get updates out quicker! I have an off period three days of the week now so that should help as long as I have no homework or anything.

Please tell me what you think of this format so far! (Remember chapters could be much much much shorter than this)
