It was just that one day in the summer when the sky began sprinkling with clear drops of rain. The day that changed these two girl's lives drastically, but it wasn't a bad change, no, it was a day that marked their lives for the better.
Story Start...
Yerin turned off her alarm and stretched out her arms while yawning. She turned to look at the empty space beside her and got up. She went towards the kitchen where an aroma of pancakes filled the air. She looked over at Eunha who had gathered a stack of pancakes in the center of the table.
"You cook?" Yerin asked.
"Yeah, I do. Pretty well if I don't say so myself." Eunha boasted.
"Well let's see if what you say is true," Yerin said grabbing her fork and knife along with the syrup.
She grabbed 3 pancakes from the center and poured a bit of syrup on the top. She grabbed her knife and began cutting the pancakes, Eunha watching her every move.
She slowly brought the piece of pancakes up to her mouth until it landed inside.
She chewed it and swallowed and looked up at Eunha.
"They're so good!" She exclaimed and continued eating her pancakes.
"I know," Eunha said and chuckled at the other who was eating her pancakes swiftly.
"Well I guess I should get going now," Eunha said grabbing her charged phone.
"Don't you need to eat?" Yerin asked in concern.
"Already did. I hope you didn't mind me making breakfast." Eunha said.
"Not at all, your cooking is great." Yerin smiled and Eunha did so too a small one., but it was something. Yerin brought her happiness that she couldn't even explain. It was like just seeing the said girl brightened up her mood.
"Well, I'll get going now. I'll see around Yerin-ssi." She said.
"Wait. Give me your phone number." Yerin said and Eunha nodded.
"760-465-8902," Eunha said. Yerin called her so that Eunha would have her phone number as well.
"Well bye, now Yerin!" Eunha said while exiting the house.
She wanted to leave as soon as possible. She needed to find a job or she would be sleeping on the streets for a while without any food to eat. She frowned at the thought.
What if I don't find a job? Then I'll sleep on the streets. And I won't be able to continue my studies! My studies, how could I forget!
Nervousness crashed over her like the ocean's waves. She walked into a restaurant with a 'employee needed' sign.
"Can I have a job application?" She asked the cashier.
"Sorry, your out of luck. We already recruited. We were actually going to take that sign off today." The cashier said with an apologetic smile.
"It's okay. Thank you though." Eunha said and the cashier nodded.
She walked out and went to the next nearest cafe there was.
Building after building Eunha went to but she was out of luck. They were either looking for someone with experience or had already had someone hired for the job.
She walked into the next restaurant. It was a pancake restaurant. At this point, she could work as anything. She didn't care as long as she was earning something. She walked into the restaurant and went up to the cashier with a hopeful expression.
"Can I have a job application?" She asked.
"Here you go. The pens are over there." The girl said and smiled brightly. Eunha's eyes lit up and she almost snatched the paper from the girl behind the counter. She grabbed a pen and began filling out the application.
She filled in her full name and went on to answer a few other questions. Once she finished she handed it to the cashier.
"Thanks. You'll be called by the end of today if you are accepted." The cashier said and gave her a reassuring smile. Eunha nodded, not forgetting to say thank you before leaving the restaurant. She walked along the streets looking for other jobs. She couldn't only apply for one job, that would be absurd. She needed more than one chance at a job.
Meanwhile, Yerin was in her small office looking over job applications. She was looking through the job applications since 3 people had recently quit.
She had gotten 5, but she only needed 3.
She took a look at them and they were all inexperienced.
She reviewed their reasons and looked at one of them closely.
(A/N: I got no idea how this works so.....)
Jung Eunbi
D/O/B: May 30th
Reason: I really need a job at the moment. The reason is something personal, but if it means getting the job I don't see the problem with stating my reason. I was kicked out of my parent's house a few days ago for a personal reason and I need the money to save up for an apartment. Please consider me for a worker at this restaurant. I hope to get your call soon.
Wow. That's just wow. I feel bad.
She thought to herself. She thought of hiring the girl. She was extremely in need of a job. And it's not like the other applicants had any better reason to get a job.
She picked up the next application and read it through. She went through one application after another. And soon she was done picking the three. One of them was older than her by almost a year, the other one she was older than and the last one being Eunbi, which she was older than by like a year.
She nodded at the three: Kim Taehyung, Jeon Jungkook, Jung Eunbi.
She went for the work phone and sent the three voice mails, notifying them that they were accepted for the job.
