Author's P.O.V
It was a Saturday and Eunha's nerves were Sky High. It was either today or tomorrow when she would need to confess to the older girl and let's just say that she wasn't taking it so easy.
Making the first move wasn't really one of the things she had thought of ever doing. She always thought if she ever had a crush on someone, that her crush would be the one to make the first move, that is if they even returned the feelings.
Heck, she didn't even know if Yerin liked girls or not. She was internally freaking out. This one move could change everything. Either her and Yerin becoming more than friends, or the two ending their friendship right then and there.
Sure, Yerin knew Eunha was lesbian, but what Eunha didn't know was what gender Yerin went for.
'Maybe this was all just some mistake. Maybe if I waited to come out to my parents everything would be okay. I wouldn't be a burden to Yerin & Umji, let alone be freaking out about this promise. What did I get myself into? Is this all really worth it?,' Eunha asked herself.
It was true that the con's outdid the pro's of all this, but what would be the outcome of all this? Would she finally get the happiness she had longed for? Maybe, but what if it was just more sorrow, more tears, more sadness that would engrave on Eunha's heart? The thing was she didn't know, and the fact was driving her crazy.
Of course she loved being around her new friends, but did her new friends enjoy being around her? She always asked herself this. She herself didn't know if her presence made a difference.
"Hey, you okay Eunha? You've been spacing out a lot lately." Taehyung asked.
"I'm fine, Tae. Just thinking." Eunha responded and he gave her a slight nod.
"Table 3 is ready for you." Taehyung and Eunha nodded, zooming that way to take the customer's order.
She greeted the couple politely and took their order.
She walked back to the kitchen and handed Sinb the order which the other took with a smile.
"I'm so glad we're closing up early today." Jungkook said and the other's agreed instantly.
"This is the last order of the day, right?"Eunha asked and the other's nodded.
Sinb passed Eunha the plater and the older girl took it instantly, walking out of the kitchen and to the certain red booth with the couple that asked for the said platter to go.
"Thank you." The boy said politely and Eunha nodded, returning to the cash register to lock it up while the said couple exited the restaurant.
"We're about done here!" Yerin shouted and the rest nodded.
"Taehyung flip the sign and we could all head home." The older boy nodded as Sinb exited the restaurant.
"Bye guys!" Sinb, Jungkook and Taehyung said and the other two girls waved back.
Yerin and Eunha walked silently, leaving a large space in between them. They were awfully awkward with each other even though the two hated it. Eunha sighed as she looked up at the glistening moon.
"Unnie." Eunha worded out, finding an unknown courage to speak.
"Yes, Eunha?"Yerin asked, internally sighing in relief.
"Can we stop by the park near the house?" Eunha asked and Yerin nodded happily.
"Sure!" Yerin said making the younger girl's heart skip a beat.
The two walked down the concrete sidewalk with a thin layer of awkwardness filling the air.
It wasn't as rough as before, but still hadn't completely gone away.
They approached the small park with cherry blossom trees scattered beautifully across the green colored grass. The moon shining over the pink petals of the trees, making them look unreal.
Eunha walked towards the pink petal filled tree while Yerin followed sightly behind.
"They're beautiful, aren't they?" Yerin asked and Eunha nodded.
"Just like you." The younger girl responded and widened her eyes as she realized what her mouth had worded out while the other girl had a face matching the color on the petals of the trees.
"I umm." Eunha said and cleared her throat, head bowed down.
Silence only being heard.
"Eunha I want to apologize."Yerin said making the other girl look up.
"For what?" Eunha asked.
"For the kiss we shared the other day. I'm sorry I, I just...*sigh*."
"Why are you sorry?" Eunha asked.
"It wasn't meant to happen. I shouldn't of done it...it was a mistake."
"A mistake!? It was all just a mistake?"Eunha laughed with tears brimming in her eyes.
"Eunha I-"
"You what Yerin? You. What."
"I-I'm sorry I-"
"Don't be! Don't be sorry." She said in a whisper.
"To think I had gotten my hopes up. To think..."
"I fell for you."
