I stared at the beautiful portrait of Alaina during her pregnancy photo shoot. She had let her natural color grown out in this picture before dyeing it again.
Alaina waddled in the room, and smiled at me. "I thought I'd find you here." I stood up, and walked over to her. "You've found me. You should be resting right now." She sighed. "I've been resting all day. I just wanted to walk around for a little bit." She was completely dressed. What the hell, whatever my wife wants, she gets. "Okay, let's go out to the backyard." She smiled and took my hand in hers. I carefully helped her down the stairs, and into the foyer. Dmitry was playing with Groot, our new dog. "Come on guys, we're going outside for a little bit." Dmitry jumped up, and followed as did Groot. I opened the doors and let the boys go through before carefully helping Alaina through. She walked out, and closed her eyes, breathing in the fresh Spring air.
I pulled out my phone and snapped a photo of her.

She looked back at me, and smiled. A year ago if you had asked me if I'd ever get married, I'd just laugh in your face, but ever since I found Alaina, all those thoughts vanished.
She was my rock, my life, my Angel. Without her, I don't know what I'd do. Alaina walked over to me, and cupped my face in her hands. "What're you thinking about Mr. Kennmore?" I wrapped my arms around her as best as I could. "Just about how my life would be if we hadn't crossed paths." She stroked my cheek. "You'll never have to think like that again." I touched her hand that was stroking my cheek.
"Promise?" She smiled.
"I promise." I pressed my lips against hers. I felt little kicks against my stomach. "Seems like we've got a couple of ass kickers here." We both laughed. I knelt down, and kissed her stomach. I wrapped my arms around her.
We're gonna be okay.
