There's a thousand miles ~ A Marianas Trench Fanfic

It's Christmas eve

It was now seven days until Christmas Day and Josh still had yet to get anything for the guys. Maybe Kevvy has an idea! he thought to himself as he dialed Kevvy's number.

"Hey?" asks Josh when the call went through. "Sup Ramsay?" says Kevvy, knowing it was Josh. "I was wondering if you could help me with getting presents for the guys?" "Yeah no prob! Want to meet up at Tim Hortons and go from there?" "Yeah okay!" Josh says before hanging up.

Grabbing his key chain wallet and hoodie before heading down stairs. "Hey I'm going to meet up with Kevvy!" calling out to his parents, on the way.

It was only a five minute walk to Timmies from his house (so Miles and Corlynn were ok with him going alone) and as Josh neared he spotted Kevvy already waiting.

As the boys enter they could faintly hear Jingle Bells playing over the radio. "What you getting? Josh asks, "Hmm.. maybe an apple cider and donut!" Kevvy replies moving up the line.

"One medium Apple Cider and a Chocolate Glaze!" says Kevvy as he steps up to the cashier. "And I'll have the same except can I get a vanilla dipped donut?" asks Josh.

"That will be ten dollars!" replies the man. Kevvy takes out the money and hands it to the guy. "Thanx but you didn't have to!" mumbles Josh while they go to find a table.

Kevvy just shrugs as they enjoy their food. "So... Do you have any I idea what you want to get the guys?" he asks after a while. Finishing off his donut, "Well I kinda wanna get Matty a guitar! I know it's super expensive but I've been saving for awhile and I know he will love it!" Josh says blushing.

"Aww! I know he's going to love it!!" Kevvy says as they head out with their drinks in hand.

A couple minutes late they arrive at the mall and head over to Rufus Guitar Shop. Josh heads over to the counter to talk to someone whilst Kevvy looks at the drums.

"Hi! I'm looking at designing a guitar for my friend!" says Josh to the woman. The woman puts down the magazine she was reading then gets up, "Follow me! Do you know what kind you want?" the woman asks.

"Yeah! I was thinking... I want to design a red hollow body V with the neck engraved with a special message! Josh replies as he stops beside the woman. "You sure know your guitars! So just go into the back room and Max will help you with everything!" She says before walking back.

Two hours later Josh and Kevvy leave the mall having done their shopping and the guitar, which will be ready for pick up in five days. "So.... Quick stop at DQ?" asks Kevvy while they're walking. "Heck Yeah!!" says Josh as they head in.

It's now two days until Christmas Day and Josh was heading back to Rufus Guitar Shop with Mike. He had told the older of what he was getting Matt and he had agreed with Kevvy that the younger was going love it.

"So how're going to pay for this? Mike asks as they enter the mall. "Well I've been saving up since the summer and doing chores around the house too!" Josh replies walking into the store.

"Hi! I'm here to pick up the guitar I made!" Josh says to the same lady. "It's nice to see you again Mr. Ramsay! It'll be ready soon! Max's just adding the last touch!" She replies

Max appears with the guitar just as Natalie finished speaking. "Oh wow! Matt's going to love that!!" exclaims Mike with a little envy, when he saw it.

"You really think so?" asks Josh. While Max boxes it and wraps it up. "Heck Yeah! You and I both know how much he's been asking for one!" replies Mike knowingly.
