A/N: hey guys!! I decided I was going to write a little special after all. Although there's still about a day until Christmas, happy holidays to all you guys! Enjoy!!
- ALEXANDERS POV -
"No, Thomas, really. We do this every holiday. You don't need to get me anything, we can just focus on Philip!" I exclaimed, refusing to give in to Thomas's relentless asking of what I wanted for Christmas. Even if it was Christmas Eve. We always buy Philips gifts on time, just not each other's.
"Well if you don't get anything, I don't get anything either." He countered with a smirk.
Now, I knew debating with Thomas was pointless. He was pretty much the only person I couldn't win against. So I simply rolled my eyes at him and matched his smirk, knowing that we'd both be receiving gifts from each other come Christmas.
"Ok, how about we put this argument, if you can even call it that, behind us and name some cookies?" I said, starting to walk away to look for Philip. He was only six and still caused so much trouble, almost more than when he was a toddler.
"Pip!" I called, and within a few seconds the little noise of Philips small feet running was heard.
He stopped out of breath and grabbed onto my legs, feigning exhaustion from his running. I just laughed and ruffled his hair.
"You wanna bake some cookies for Santa, buddy?" I asked, preparing myself because I knew he'd most likely shout an over - energetic answer.
"YES!" He screamed, a huge smile on his face. I lifted him up onto my shoulders and walked into the kitchen, where my Thomas was starting to get all the ingredients out.
"Let's bake some cookies, yeah?" He said with a smile as Philip somehow climbed onto the counter.
- TIME SKIP (after they bake cookies) -
"How did he manage to spill half a bag of flour on his head?" I laughed to Thomas as we gave Philip a bath.
"It was FUN!" Philip shouted. I ran my hand through his now clean hair.
"Good to know you liked it bud. Do you think Santa will like your Christmas tree cookies?" I asked.
"No, he won't like them. He'll LOVE them!" He started splashing around in the water and I let him be for a minute as I checked the time.
"Thomas, it's almost 9. Should we get him to bed soon?" I asked the love of my life, trying to be quiet so Pip wouldn't know it was almost bedtime.
"Yeah. We both know he's gonna be up super early tomorrow and we don't want him to be crabby like last year." I shuddered as he reminded me of last year. Philip had a terrible cold and slept for less than 6 hours because of it as well as excitement and he was terrible the next day, and cried half the time.
I drained the bath water and wrapped Philip in a towel after scooping him out of the bathtub. He giggled as I attempted to dry the curly mess that is his hair. Thomas went to go get his pajamas and after we dressed him we went downstairs.
"Ok, Philip. Just so you know, yes, you do have to go to bed after this. But we have to hang our stockings and read the story still!" I told him.
"Can I put out my cookies for Santa too?" He asked, quiet for once due to his sleepiness finally hitting him.
"Of course!" Thomas called as he walked up the stairs from the basement with our stockings and the book. He handed each of our stockings to us and Philip rushed to be the first one hung up on the fireplace. I kissed Thomas while he was busy with that, then rested my forehead against his.
