Gryffindor (Chanyeol x reader)

Christmas

Countless days have passed ever since Chanyeol's birthday. After that hug, you never really talked anymmore, which you thought was better, since you didn't want to be in love. However, Christmas was getting closer, and at the back of your mind, you hoped Chanyeol would buy you a gift, but since you didn't talk anymore, you just put those thoughts away.

A few days before Christmas at eve, you were about to enter your dorm, when you heard the voice:"(Y/N) I'm going home for Christmas." You turned around to see Chanyeol. You were slightly upset that he didn't even greet you properly after being quiet for so long. You decided not to be quiet about it, you spoke strictly:"So?" His face expressed surprise, shock, he raised both his eyebows, his mouth slightly opened. He scratched his forehead, saying:"Well, I was wondering if you could meet me at Astronomy tower before it hits midnight on Christmas. I wanna talk to you...but I see that's a no, so I'll just go.."

He sounded hurt, sad, upset..

You stopped him:"Wait! Okay, I'll meet you there."

The day before Christmas

As you arrived to the Astronomy tower, Chanyeol wasn't there yet, even though you were late yourself. You decided to wait for awhile.

A little time passed, but since it was cold, it felt like hours, your whole body was freezing. You heard the wind blowing, but that was it. You got upset, thinking how he tricked you into coming up here and not planning to show up. It hurt you that he might not be as kind as you thought. You felt your eyes filling with tears, but you decided to wait for a little more. Soon enough, you heard footsteps coming up the stairways, you also heard the person's sharp breaths as if they were in a hurry. Finally, Chanyeol arrived there too. His cheeks were red, from being active in cold weather, he bent down, putting hands on his knees and panted, to catch breath. Inbetween his panting, he said:"You didn't leave..thank god.."

You, still upset, just glared at him, waiting for an explaination. As he caught his breath, he stood up properly, and noticed your glare, then apologised:"Sorry I'm late."

"What took you so long??" you asked upset:"Would you just leave me here to freeze??" He answered:"Luhan and Baekhyun are so excited they couldn't sleep..you know i have to wait for them to sleep so I can leave."

You sid, your whole body shivering:"Do you know how cold I am?! I've been here for at least half an hour!" You started tearing up again, but because it was cold, thats when he hugged you without saying anything, and the warmth sorrounded you. Staying in his comfortable arms, you asked:"So, why did you want to meet?"

He answered:"I'm going home soon, so I wanted to know if you're gonna write me while we're apart?" You laughed sarcastically:"Yeah, right."

"You won't..?" judging by his voice, that hurt him deeply, it sounded like he was about to cry even. You didn't stop the joke, you asked:"Why would I?" He replied:"Well, it would make me really happy..even if you don't want to, I will write you. Every week, at least, but if you don't want my letters you can throw them away or use them for fire." He sounded really serious about that. You told him:"I was joking Chanyeol, I'll write you when I can, even thought you'll only be absent for two weeks."

He let out a sigh, letting go of the hug, making you cold again, but it wasn't as cold as before. You looked around, bringing back the memories of the tragic event on 21th september. You got that sick feeling again, as well as you remembered that Chanyeol doesn't know the truth about it all. You said:"Chanyeol, actually Jongdae..." Chanyeol interrupted:"No. Don't tell me, I don't wanna know. At least not yet." As he said that, you looked at him, you saw it still makes him hurt. He then added:"I was wrong."

"Hm?" you asked confused.

"I thought you were a bad person." he explain. You weren't surprised. You said:"Because I'm Slytherin, I get it. But not all of us are bad. We're seen as the worst type of wizards and witches, so it isnt easy for us."

He let out a chuckle, saying:"I know not all of you are bad, but promise me you won't change. Don't betray me."

"Okay, I promise." you said with a smile. You never planned to change, especially because like this, Chanyeol cared about you. 

The clock started beating, it was Christmas, and it was Chanyeol's time to leave. He said cheerfully:"Merry Christmas!" and he opened his arms for a hug. You said:"Go! You'll be late!" laughing a bit. He flashed one last smile, before turning and running away. After he left, silence ruled over the Astronomy tower. You didn't wait for too long, since it was cold. Soon after him, you made your way back to bed.
