Gryffindor (Chanyeol x reader)

1st day of Christmas holidays!

Holding the letter in your hand, you rushed to your room. You were so excited for some reason, it was from Chanyeol after all.

Luckily nobody was in the bedroom. You sat down on bed, and openeded the letter. You started at it for a few seconds, too nervous to start reading, you certainly weren't expecting a letter this soon.  Then you started reading.

The letter:

Hey (Y/N)!

Merry Christmas once again! I just woke up, and I immediatelly remembered I should write you. Something funny happened on the way home, while I was on train. Well, wasn't all that funny, it was more stupid. You see, usually Baekhyun and Luhan go home with me, but this year we just kinda agreed they'd stay, so of course I forgot that they aren't with me. I wanted to ask them if they wanna come over to my place on New year. I literally turned to window and started talking.I felt so stupid, and I started laughing at myself. It feels great being home now, sleeping on my own bed, but somehow it feels lonely, so please reply as soon as possible! Gosh, it would be so much easier if we were texing,I am SO buying us phones, at least for summer holidays.

How are you though? Did you sleep well? Got any presents? Please reply when you can, I'm already waiting just writing this.

You realised this letter made you so happy, you were smiling most of the time, and you didn't even realise what Chanyeol was writing. As you re-read it, your smile slowly faded, you asked yourself:"Texting...?" you had no idea how to text someone, since you've never used a phone. You decided you'll tell him that in your reply.

But when to reply? You didn't want to reply right away, it would seem too clingy, but if you wait, it might make him sad and he's going to think you don't like him. But also, there isn't really anything to write.Is it okay if you wrote just a smiple short letter? Would it make him just as happy as his letter made you?

You decided to give it a go.

You grabbed a piece of parchment paper, a pen, and sat down. You figured out it'd be hard to write on your bed, so you sneaked into the common room. When you started writing, it kinda went by itsef.

You wrote:

Hey Chanyeol,

I didn't expect your latter this soon, so I was kinda surprised. When the letter arrived I was talking too Luhan and Baekhyun, we became friends you know? They aren't so bad, but just a bit hard to handle. Anyways I'm great! I'm happy it's finally holidays, even though you aren't here. And yeah, I slelpt well, also kinda just woke up, but I didn't get any presents. That's okay though, I didn't expect any.

By the way, I don't know about your idea of texting. I don't know how to use a phone, and even if you were to teach me, I'd probably forget my phone everywhere, because I wouldn't see it as important, so I still prefer writing.

That should be good, you thought. You put the letter in the envelope and headed to the tower with owls. You handed it to a beautiful owl.

You were smiling to yourself all this time, realising how happy he actually makes you.

You made your way back to your room, but you went to The great hall instead. You sat down, thinking you should probably start reading a book.

And so your and Chanyeol's "love letters" started :P
