The next day I woke up with a minor headache, big surprise. The events of the previous night had been crazy causing me to walk in the door and fall asleep still wearing my silver dress. Looking over to my clock I realized it was 7:33 and I was late for work. Crap! My alarm must not have gone off.
Great I already faked a sick day and now I'm going to be late. I'll just call Mrs. Anderson on my way to work and explain what happened. I began running in around in a mad rush to my closet to find an outfit and then to the bathroom.
I put on a blue skirt, black flats and a similar white blouse to the one I wore a few days before. After getting dressed I looked in the mirror and groaned. I had smudged make up all over and my hair was in a rats nest. I started my scrubbing my face until it was all gone only to discover I had some serious black circles. After applying a new thin coat of make up I started on my hair. There was no chance I would be able to straighten my hair in the little time I had so I watered it down.
Finally when I felt presentable I ran out in the living room to find Alli still asleep. Doesn't she have a flight today? I grabbed a post it note and wrote a simple message for her, then stuck it on top of her phone.
I'm going to work, I'll be back at 5 - Rosie
While I was in the car I called Mrs. Anderson and told her my alarm never went off and if she needed me to stay longer I will. She said it wasn't necessary but next time I needed to be here on time.
I walked into my cubicle at exactly 8:17 and sat down to log onto my computer. Shortly after getting situated James walked over to me, I have been fretting this moment since I kissed him. Marshall telling me he liked me had changed things, so I don't know where I stand at this moment.
For a moment we sat there looking at each other until he broke the silence, "You look like hell."
I smirked at him, "So do you." I said with fake concern in my voice.
He laughed and rolled his chair over towards me, "Oh come on. You aren't mad at me are you? I didn't mess up your relationship with the celebrity did I?"
I shot him a death glare and threw a wadded up piece of paper at him. "No, because I didn't tell him and I don't plan on telling him. If you tell him, I will hurt you."
He threw his hands up surrendering, but then he changed the subject. "Actually, that's not what I came over here to talk about. I'm here to ask you to speak at this mediation so I can get Mariana back."
I realized the date, December 17th. He had the court meeting in three days.
I nodded, "Of course I will. What do I need to do?"
He proceeded to spend the next three minutes explaining what I should and shouldn't say, what to wear, who I can and cannot look at until I interrupted him. "James, you're going to have to write all of that down. There is no way I will remember any of that."
He sighed, "Ugh, just wear what you would wear to work, speak positively about my lifestyle and talk about how good I am with Mariana. Got it?"
"Oh, so you want me to lie?" I was just joking with him, but he deserved it. This time I was the one receiving the death glare. "Kidding. I'll say good stuff, now get back to work before we both get fired."

During my lunch Alli came to eat with me because she missed her flight. I hope her interview won't be screwed up because she couldn't get there on time. I know it was around 4 tonight and it's 11 now. Her flight was supposed to leave at 9.
"Rosie, I have to get this job! It's my dream job, in my dream city with my dream guy! We've already paid for the apartment and Jason is currently unpacking our stuff." Her arms were crossed and her voice cracked as she spoke. This job must really mean a lot to her.
