This is Awkward (Part I)

MARSHALL'S POV

I haven't seen Rose since she told me she liked me, but wasn't ready for another relationship. Yeah I was kind of disappointed, but I'll get over myself, after all she did admit she liked me. Even if we're not dating I still want to introduce her to my girls because I know they've been curious about who I've been seeing all this time. They had wanted me to invite her over to our movie night, but I knew she was moving today so I thought another day would be better. 

"Dad, are you coming? We're about to put the movie in." I was working on some new material when Hailie came to get me. 

"Yeah, did you guys get the pizza?"

"Yep! Now come on!" She started pulling from my chair.

"Alright, alright, I'm coming!" 

I followed her downstairs and saw Whitney and Lanie in their pajamas which made me realize Hailie was in her's two. 

When Whitney saw us come down she jumped up out of her chair, "Daddy! Where are your Pj's?" 

"I didn't have time to put them on! Now let' start the movie. What are we watching?"

"Footloose!" They all chimed in harmony. 

I groaned, "Haven't we seen this one about thirty times?"

Instead of getting an answer I got another question from Whitney, "Is your girlfriend coming?"

I shook my head, "No, she had to move today and she's not my girlfriend. We're just friends." I can't help it if I said the last part with a bit of hostility in my voice. 

"Well what's she like?" At this point the movie had been paused and the conversation had been shifted to Rose. 

"She's nice, she's smart, she's funny. I don't know, I want you to meet her and when you do I think you're going to like her."

Now it was Lanie's turn to join in, "Why don't you call her or text her and ask her to come over."

"Fine, now let's watch the movie."

ROSE'S POV

Moving into my condo didn't take but half an hour because I don't have any furniture but a desk, dresser and a few boxes full of kitchen stuff. My old apartment came fully furnished so I never had to go and buy new stuff so I guess I'll have to do that later today. Earlier I was talking to Alli and telling her about how great this place is and when her and Jason come to find a new place they'll probably look in this building. I think she said they'll be coming next week.

One of my least favorite things is shopping (if you haven't already noticed), but one of my favorite things to do is look at furniture so I have mixed feelings on what I'm about to do. All I really need is a couch and bed, luckily this place came with a small table that fits my needs perfectly.

The only real problem here is that I can't carry a bed or couch. I can't even fit a bed or couch in my car and I really don't feel like paying someone to have to bring it out. But at the same time what has to be done has to be done.

Honestly I don't even know a good place to buy furniture since I've bought almost all my apartments furnished since I moved from Florida where we had IKEA's.

It's already 3:30 and if I want to sleep in a bed tonight I should get going.

That night I didn't get home until 7 and it didn't actually get to my place until 8 which leaves me no time to set it up so I might as well sleep on the couch. As I was setting up my couch bed I got a text from Marshall.
