Shawn's POV:

As soon Blake grabs Gracie's arm I start running over there. I'm sprinting, but this room is huge and we're on opposite sides. I watch helplessly as Gracie is punched and slapped, she falls to the ground and Blake kicks her skull. I reach them two seconds later, and tackle him to the ground.

I get a a good punch in before he throws me off, Ben attacks me from behind. I'm hopelessly wrestling with the two guys for only a couple minutes before Taylor jumps on Ben's back, punching his face all the way to the ground. He sends a good hard kick to Ben's groin, then turns to Blake. Before he can get that far, security rushes over and pulls the boys away, hauling Luke to his feet and kicking all three of them out.

I rub my jaw where Ben punched me. I look down, and spot Taylor kneeling by Gracie. Gracie! I drop to my knees beside her.

"Don't say anything, I think she's waking up." Taylor looks so fragile as he holds her head in his hands. The other boys have gathered around us, all looking scared to death for her. Her eyes flutter open.

"Gracie?" Taylor and I ask a the same time. He shoots me an annoyed look, I go and stand by Nash. He also gives me look, but more out of wariness than annoyance.  Gracie smiles weakly at all of us and slowly sits up. "I guess I kind of owe you guys an explanation."

                                                                                                      ***

We take Gracie to the hospital, much to her dismay. While she gets checked out, we all sit in the waiting room. There's an eerie silence around us. Gilinsky stands up and motions for Johnson, Matt, Nash, and I to follow him. He leads us out back to a small courtyard.

There's a fountain bubbling to my left, and colorful flowers dot the stone walkway. We're alone.

"Do you have anything else you want to share about that night Shawn?" Gilinsky asks, sounding more than a little pissed.

I shake my head. "Guys, I'm not kidding. All I did that night was get drunk and hook up with Gracie." I can tell they're still skeptical.

"Well how do you know that's all you di?" Matt questions. "You say you were too drunk to even remember exactly how far you went with Gracie, how do you know you didn't cause that scene in there?"

Do they seriously think that I was behind that? Are they so blind they can't even see how much I care about her? "Stop it." I take a step back from them. "I care about Gracie, a lot. And yes Matt, I think I would remember if I had pissed someone off that much." I can't believe they're accusing me of this.

"Those dick heads were going to kill her, and I have no idea why, but I think Taylor might."
