This story is taking an interesting direction, I kind of like it.. Haha intense fanfiction. Oh and can we celebrate over 100 reads?! Turn tf up what what.
Shawn's POV:
We've been waiting here for an hour and a half, but none of us are even thinking of leaving. I look up and spot Gracie walking towards us. Her eyes look kinda red, but maybe that's just the lighting in here.
Taylor runs up to her and carefully wraps his arms around her waist. "Are you alright? Is everything okay?" She smiles and nods, yet for a split second I see sadness flash across her perfect face. I'm going crazy, right?
Gracie turns to all of us and we all run up to engulf her in a huge hug. "I'm fine guys, no broken bones. No concussion. I'm totally healthy." She laughs a little, but looks distant. The releif spreads over all of us like a warm blanket, finally we can just go home and try to forget about all of this. We start walking over to the car. I glance over at Nash and the other boys who know what actually happened today. All of them look upset. Nash was right, this is our fault, we let those guys slip right under our noses. We're idiots.
Gilinsky pushes Taylor aside and wraps his arm around Gracie's waist, Johnson doing the same on her other side. He leans over and whispers something in her ear. The longer he talks, the more tears fill her eyes. They start spilling down her cheeks. She stops walking and just gives both of them a hug. "It wasn't your fault guys, it was mine. I should have at least warned security about them. It wasn't your fault at all."
Well at least she's not pissed at us. I don't want to make her more upset, but I want answers, and based on the looks Taylor is shooting me, so does he. "Guys!" We're at the car now, but everyone stops and turns to me anyways. "When we get back to the hotel, we're sitting down and having a meeting in my room. No arguments. We all need to talk." Everyone nods and mumbles their agreements.
We all pile in the car, I squish in the back right next to Gracie. The whole ride back I can feel her eyes on me. I can see her delicate hands shaking out of the corner of my eye.
"Shawn," she whispers in my ear. No one else can hear us back here. "They aren't going to like what I have to say. It's just going to hurt them all."
For the first time since that night, I look her straight in the eye and talk directly to her. "We're family Gracie. Family fights for eachother. It doesn't matter if what you have to say isn't what we want to hear. We'll be okay. Everything will be okay, but you just need to tell us what's going on." Our faces are literally centimeters apart. I can see her lower lip quivering. I can smell the mint gum in her mouth. We hover like that for a moment.
Then she kisses me.
