Gracie's POV:

The doctor ushers me into a room, shooing out Taylor as he tries to follow. "It's fine Taylor, I'm fine. I'll see you soon." He nods and closes the door behind him.

"So, Gracie. Why don't you start off by telling me what happened?" Oh crap. If I tell the doctor the truth, it will lead to a legal matter. I can't handle that right now.

"I really don't know, the fan just started hitting me. He must have been crazy." He gives me a skeptical look, but decides it's best not to press me further. I'll come up with a better story later.

He takes me over to the far corner of the room, placing me on a white table. An X-ray machine. What a way to end my first ever Magcon event.

                                                                                         ***

After around an hour of various X-rays and tests, the doctor comes back into the room with the results. He has a troubled look on his face.

"What's wrong doc?" I ask, worried.

"I have good news and some not so good news, Gracie." He takes a seat. "The good news is that you do not have a concussion or any broken bones. Only some minor bruises."

"And the bad news?" What could possibly be wrong?

"Gracie, when we reviewed the X-rays of your ribs.." He runs a hand through his hair. I want to scream.

"We found cancer cells, in your lungs."

Taylor's POV:

Sitting in this stupid waiting room is killing me. I know that Gracie will be fine, but I want to find those guys. I want to hurt them. They just came in there and beat the crap out of her, again. They had no right to do that to her, and they're going to pay for it.

Gilinsky, Johnson, Matt, Shawn, and Nash walk into the room. They must have left when I was still with Gracie. Shawn walks over to me. "We need to talk to you," He motions at the other guys. They all look kinda pissed.

I sigh and follow them out back to this little courtyard area. "What?" I just want to get back to fuming over those douches.

"Who were those guys in there?" Shawn asks, they all have their arms crossed over their chests like some sort of white gang.

"Why are you asking me? You're the one who pointed out Blake in the first place." I realize he never answered my question from before. "How did you even know who he was, Shawn?"

Shawn looks at his feet, but doesn't say anything.

"That's not important right now, Tay." Nash takes a step forward. "Those guys hurt one of us. And when you hurt one of us, you hurt all of us. We're a family man. We let those guys slip right under our noses, and now look where we are!" He shakes his head. "We might as well have beat her up, Gracie's in here because we didn't do a good enough job of protecting her."

Ugh. Why is Nash so good at guilting people? He should be a freaking politician.

"Alright! I'll tell you guys everything I know, it's not much, but it's something." I launch into the story of Gracie's freshman year, telling them all about Luke and what he did to her, what he made her do to herself.

"Luke was the kid who was talking to her, Blake and Ben were right behind him. I have no idea what they wanted, but I'm gonna find out."
