(A/N~ when it gets to the hotel part, it takes place in episode 11 almost. Enjoy!!)
-Haru's pov-
"Makoto!" I impulsively shoot forward to stop Makoto from running away.
"Forget it!"
"What? How could I-"
"I'm going home!" Makoto tries to end the conversation. His voice is a mix of anger and fear. He pushes past me easily, roughly hitting me on the shoulder in haste. I grab Makoto by the wrist before he can slip away.
I plead, "Makoto, just talk to me!"
"I said, leave me alone, Haruka!" With a quick jolt, he pulls free from my grip on his arm and walks away.
"Makoto, please!" I call out one last time. "I love you!"
He doesn't stop. Makoto getting farther and farther away when all I want to do is run and hold him close.
"Haru-chan?"
"Haru-senpai?"
"Haru-chan?" The underclassman's hands are on my shoulders, holding on just a little too tight. Nagisa's eyebrows are furrow with worry. "What's wrong. You look-you look like you've seen a ghost."
"Did you and Makoto-senpai get into a fight?" Rei interjects.
Nagisa's hands fall from my shoulders slowly. But one still somehow finds itself latched on my upper arm. I'm not sure if it is meant to comfort me or a source of comfort for Nagisa.
"It... it was Makoto. He's been..." The words refused to come out of my mouth. I can feel the prickling at the back of my throat like I want to cry. There is a pounding in my skull like all the blood is rushing to my head.
This is all too much. Too much change. Too many emotions.
"He's been cutting himself," The words come out and so does all the air from my chest. It all sounds so unreal.
"I followed him to the locker room. He's been different so I thought something was bugging him. School, or maybe the swim club, I don't know. That's why I called you a few nights ago. I never expected to see..."
Nagisa leans closer to me as I speak, the puzzle pieces assembling in his eyes as the words rushed out of me. He begins to understand what is going on. Nagisa was never good with handling serious subjects. They make him uncomfortable and he a bad habits of letting his emotions come straight out.
The bubbly smile falters despite his attempts to keep face. His voice is shaking, "Makoto... he didn't want us to worry. How could he be so stupid!"
Hot tears begin to roll down the side of his face and the first salty drop reached his lips. Nagisa attempts to stop them, but once he starts, he just had to let himself cry it out, "I'm sorry... I'm sorry," he whimpers, rubbing his eyes.
"You're going to have to confront him, Haruka-senpai," Rei tells me.
"I know."
"He may not want help, or, even think he needs help... But, he does. And I think you're the one person he needs to talk to the most right now."
-Makoto's pov-
I stumble to put on my clothes. My hands are shaking and tears are threatening to spill.
Rin knows and now Haru knows, he found me out. What am I supposed to say? We going to stay in a hotel for a few days since the relay is in a few days.
