"Pero hindi ba't nakakatawa? Magkamukhang-magkamukha kayo, magkaugali, magkapangalan...At pareho din kayo ng sakit. At ang mas nakakatawa...nakalimutan ko na nga siya, pero ikaw naman ang pumalit sa pwesto niya."

I instantly covered my face with my hands when I recalled what Hermes told me earlier. Dapat maging masaya ako, hindi ba? Na kahit na hindi ako ang una niyang minahal, na kahit he mistook me for someone else, ako naman na ang nasa puso niya ngayon. Ako na ang mahal niya. But I can't. I just can't be happy. I don't know kung kailan ko siya natutunang magustuhan, and to think that I instantly hated him when we first met. I wanted to laugh.

Dear God, is this some kind of a sick joke? Because to be honest, hindi na po siya nakakatawa. Bakit sa lahat ng pwedeng mag-suffer, bakit ako pa? Bakit kami pa? Bakit parang ibinigay Niyo sa akin ang lahat ng sakit? Bakit po ako? Bakit kailangan na ako ang makaranas nito?

I fervently closed my eyes and weakly sat on the ground when I felt like I couldn't hold my tears anymore. Matapos akong halikan ni Hermes, I did what my mind told me to do: run. Even if I so badly wanted to kiss him back, to hug him tight and never let go, I couldn't. I couldn't risk escaping death and saving my life in exchange for his. I can't do that. I sighed and thought about the remaining days I have. 31 days, and that's all that I have left. I have to make the most out of it. Live life as if I've never lived before. Out of the blue, I felt that ice-cold breeze blowing around me, and I didn't have to look around to know who it was who visited me. 

"Destiny..." rinig kong tawag niya sa akin. 

"What do you want?" I hissed, still not looking up. Ayoko siyang harapin ngayon. Not now, or maybe not ever. Tutal, siya naman ang susundo sa akin when my time is up. Bakit kailangan pa niyang magpakita ngayon?

"May bisita ka." he told me nonchalantly. Curious, I stood up and looked up to him, only to be shocked and be rendered speechless when I saw her.

"Hello Destiny." she greeted and smiled genuinely at me. I wanted to say something, but words couldn't escape from my lips. Anong nangyayari? Why is she here? Why is she with Thanatos?

"F-Fate?" I heard myself whisper and she grinned at me. ‘Yung babae sa panaginip ko at ‘yung tinutukoy ni Hermes kanina was standing right in front of me. Hindi ko alam kung paano ko nalaman na siya ang babae sa panaginip ko but I’m certain it was her.

"Nice to meet you, too." she told me once again. Naglakad siya palapit sa akin and hugged me afterwards. Hindi ko siya mayakap pabalik dahil pakiramdam ko ay bigla akong nanigas. She's cold. Too cold. At bigla akong nanghina sa sobrang lamig na nagmumula sa kanya.

"Fate! Stop! Baka nakakalimutan mo, you're too cold! Colder than ice even!" Thanatos reprimanded and she instantly let go of me.

"Oh my! I'm sorry! Nakalimot ako! Hindi nga pala kayo sanay sa body temperature namin." she apologized and I just nodded, accepting her apology. I hugged myself, still feeling the coldness seeping in my skin and I had no choice but to sit down on the ground again. I felt myself shivering at hindi rin ako makahinga ng maayos.

"Look at what you did!" patuloy na sermon ni Thanatos sa babaeng minahal ni Hermes. Si Fate Salvatore.

"I didn't mean to. Na-excite lang talaga akong makita siya." Fate explained, pouting. 

"Mag-ingat ka sa susunod." he reprimanded before squatting down in front of me. He suddenly took my hands in his and brought it closer to his lips. Maya-maya lang, naramdaman kong nawala na ang lamig sa katawan ko, na para bang sinipsip niya ang lamig hanggang sa tuluyan na itong mawala sa katawan ko.
