CHAPTER 22

David let me stand and removed his jacket. He looked at my body and the anger in his face came back.

I heard him curse, "Fvck. That assh*ole-"

I held his hands which made his face calm, "I hate your kindness, Alexandra." He said and put the jacket on me.

He cupped my face and rested his forehead on mine, "Thank, God. You are safe. I thought what happened before was the most frightening moment in my life, but no. I was so fvcking scared, Alexandra. You scared the hell out of me." He said as he closed his eyes, "I'm not gonna put you in danger again. I'm sorry for letting my jealousy rule me. It was so stupid of me." He said once again.

I have never cried so much like this in my life. It was a mixture of fear, pain, comfort, happiness and an unknown emotion..

He carried me bridal style but I can't even feel my bones. I feel like I became a jelly after what happened.

"I'm never going to lose you in my eyes ever again, Alexandra. I promise to death. I'm sorry." He said and kissed my forehead before walking away from Collin who was filled with scars and blood. I'm sorry..

I loved you, Collin but I what you did to me was something that never came out of my mind. That's why I don't feel anything for you anymore, because you are not the same old Collin, you've changed. I don't know you anymore...

I rapped my arms around David's neck and rested my head on his chest.

"That's right, Alexandra. Listen to my heartbeat and calm down." He said and I followed what he siad.

I listend to his heartbeat and slowly my breathing became normal, my heart was again singing in chorus with his.

I smiled when it recognized David's heart. My heart knows that the heart I'm listening to is from the one it loves.. Because just like what I feel when David's around, it also feels comfort and security when his heart is close to mine.

Our hearts become one when we are together. They beat in chorus, they feel calm, they feel happiness, they feel comfort, they feel secured, they feel pain, they feel longing but above all, they feel love..

I tighten my hug on David's neck between my arms.

"Woah." He laughed, "Wag masyadong mahigpit, Babe. Baka mamatay ako." Biro nito.

I closed my eyes, "Thank you for always being there to save me." I whispered.

"I didn't save you. I saved my life, stop assuming." He simply said.

I smiled, "I love you, David." I whispered again.

Nakita 'kong napatigil ito at narinig ko rin ang pag bilis ng tibok ng puso niya na sinabayan ng puso ko. Is love really like this?

"A-ano? I didn't hear what you just said." He calmly said but I can sense how nervous he is.

Tumawa ako. Same old David..

"Ang sabi ko, I love you." Malakas 'kong sabi.

Mas lalong bumilis ang tibok ng puso nito, "Sinong mahal mo?" Tanong nito.

I rolled my eyes, "I love you, David Jade Xavier Monticello." I said mentioning his whole and complete name.
