CHAPTER 21 : TALK GONE WRONG

"What did you just say?" Gulat nitong tanong.
Ngumiti ako, "I already said it once. I'm not going to say it again." I said as I let out my tounge.
Sumimangot ito, "Yeah, ofcourse." Sabi nito at nagsimula ng maglakad palayo.
Tumawa ako at sinundan ito, "David, wait!" Natatawa 'kong tawag.
"Monticello, wait for me!" Ulit ko. Pero nagpatuloy lang ito sa paglalakad na tila ba walang narinig.
I was just running after him by laughing when someone grabbed my hand.
Napatingin ako sa harapan at nakita ko si Collin kaya nawala bigla ang ngiti sa labi ko.
"C-Collin." Gulat 'kong saad.
Ngumiti ito, "Can we talk?" he stopped for awhile.
He looked at the back, so I did the same. I saw David staring blankly at us, at our hands to be exact.
Napalunok ako at kinuha ang kamay mula kay Collin. Sumimangot ito pero ibinalik din naman ang ngiti.
"Let's talk now. Alone." He demanded.
Napakurap ako. He was demanding, who does he think he is?
Napabalik ang mga mata ko kung saan si David but to my surprise, he wasn't there anymore.
I was hoping for him to save and drag me away from Collin, but..
Napabuntong hininga ako, "I'm sorry, Collin. I'm not in the mood to talk." I said while not looking in to his eyes.
"No. We'll talk now." He said and dragged me all of a sudden.
"Collin! Let me go!" Sabi ko habang pinipilit na kunin ang kamay mula sakanya.
Tinignan ko siya but he was just smiling like he wasn't dragging me!
What is his problem?!
"Collin, ano ba! Bitawan mo ako sabi! Nasasaktan ako!" Mahina 'kong sigaw dahil dumadami na ang mga studyante sa hallway at tumitingin na sa amin. What a great timing!
"Don't fool me, Alexandra. It's not that tight. I know my limit. So, just follow me." He said.
"But I said I don't want to talk!" Hilyaw ko at patuloy paring kumakawala sa hawak niya but he still didn't listen.
Napatigil ako ng biglang dumilim at tumahimik ang paligid. I looked around and didn't found any familiarity in the place. Nasaan kami?
"Where are we, Collin?" Nanginginig 'kong tanong, "Collin, let's go back." I begged.
The classrooms were empty and broken, light wasn't found except for the sun yet it was still dark for me.
Tumingin ako kay Collin na naglalakad parin, "C-Collin, please."
Tumingin ito sakin at napabuntong hininga bago tumigil, "We're only going to talk here, Alexandra. Don't be scared, I'm here. I won't hurt you." He said and gave me a comforting smile. But I can only see David's face...
He brushed my hair which made me close my eyes, "I missed you so much." I heard him.
I missed you too, Collin but not as much as before.
Binitawan niya na ako kaya dumilat agad ang mga mata ko.
Napatingin ako sa paligid and my eyes widened when I realized this is the abandoned building. I heard it many times but I've never been hear.
